Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a component-embedded printed circuit board is disclosed. The method includes: forming a blind hole in the first metal layer such that the first insulation layer is exposed, for a metal-clad laminate that includes a first metal layer stacked over a first insulation layer, securing a component to the first insulation layer by embedding the component in the blind hole, stacking a second insulation layer and a second metal layer on either side of the metal-clad laminate, and forming circuit patterns by removing portions of the metal layers.

Abstract:
A liquid crystal display includes; a liquid crystal panel, and a DC-DC converter which receives an input voltage to generate an analog drive voltage and a gate-on voltage used to operate the liquid crystal panel, wherein the DC-DC converter includes a pulse width modulation circuit which modulates a pulse width of the analog drive voltage and the gate-on voltage, a boost converter which boosts the input voltage to output the analog drive voltage, and a charge pump which boosts one of the input voltage and the analog drive voltage to output the gate-on voltage, wherein when a high voltage stress test is performed, the DC-DC converter outputs the analog drive voltage boosted to a voltage level higher than a voltage level of the analog drive voltage during a normal operation, and outputs the gate-on voltage having a voltage level substantially equal to a voltage level of the gate-on voltage during the normal operation.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for producing an organic acid or its derivatives, which comprises oxidation of a hydrocarbon substrate in the presence of a homogeneous MC-type catalyst and an oxidant. In particular, the present invention relates to a process comprising oxidation of a hydrocarbon substrate in the presence of a homogeneous MC-type catalyst selected from Co/Br, Mn/Br, Co/Mn/Br and Co/Mn/M/Br and an O2/CO2 mixed gas oxidant where the partial pressure of O2 is controlled to 30-40%, thereby improving the oxidation rate, the conversion, the selectivity and the yield even under milder conditions. Especially, the present invention remarkably reduces down to a negligible level the production of color impurities and other impurities such as 4-CBA and p-toluic acid, which had been conventionally removed by hydrogenation reduction. Further, the loss in acetic acid solvent due to combustion can also be drastically decreased using the method of the present invention.
Abstract:
A switching mechanism of an air circuit breaker that allows the overall size of the air circuit breaker to be minimal by making the width of the switching mechanism relatively small. The switching mechanism of the air circuit breaker includes both side plates, a main shaft, a main shaft lever, a first link, a closing spring unit, a charging cam, a rotational shaft of the charging cam, a third link, a driving lever, a spring support pin and an end portion supported by the spring support pin, and a third link elastic bias spring having an end portion supported by the spring support pin and an operation portion for providing elastic force onto one surface of the third link to bias the third link to be rotated in one direction. A third link elastic bias spring directly provides the elastic force onto the third link in order to minimize the distance between a pair of driving levers and thus minimize the width of the switching mechanism.

An angular velocity sensor structure for improving the off-axis sensitivity is provided in which a structure for detecting an off-axis acceleration component applied to the angular velocity sensor structure is directly adapted to the sensor structure, thereby measuring the off-axis acceleration component actually applied to the sensor structure without distortion.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a resin composition which comprises a catalyst precursor for electroless plating to form an electromagnetic wave shielding layer. The resin composition comprises an organic polymer resin, a polyfunctional monomer having an ethylenically unsaturated bond, a photoinitiator, a silver organic complex precursor as a catalyst precursor, and an organic solvent. Further disclosed are methods for forming metal patterns using the resin composition and metal patterns formed by the methods. The methods comprise forming a pattern, reducing the pattern, and electroless plating the reduced pattern. A patterned layer of the catalyst formed using the resin composition is highly adhesive, a loss of the catalyst during a wet process is substantially prevented, and an increase in plating rate leads to the formation of a uniform, fine metal pattern after electroless plating. Electromagnetic wave shielding materials comprising the metal pattern can be used in the formation of films for shielding electromagnetic waves.

The example nonvolatile memory device may include a gate electrode receiving a first bias voltage, a substrate receiving a second bias voltage, the first and second bias voltages forming a first voltage potential difference between the gate electrode and the substrate and a first impurity region receiving a third bias voltage, the second and third bias voltages forming a second voltage potential difference between the first impurity region and the substrate, the first and third bias voltages being positive and the second bias voltage being negative.
Abstract:
A shift control method for an automatic transmission improves shift feel and acceleration characteristics by determining if 4→3 shifting is required during lift-foot-up 3→4 shift control, and if so, the method controls a number of solenoid valves and friction elements with input from a plurality of sensors that stop the lift-foot-up 3→4 shift when the accelerator pedal is again depressed after being released.
