    Abstract: A method and system for providing multi-color holographic optical traps and patterns. The method and system employs a laser beam which interacts with a diffractive optical element with a hologram and for optics which acts to selectively pass or attenuate different light color wavelengths and to position the particular color light at selected different locations to form the different color holographic optical trap patterns and to use these patterns for various commercial purposes.

    Abstract: A user interface apparatus comprises a plurality of key buttons, and a plurality of touchpad pieces, each located under an associated key button and situated such that a touch of an associated key button can be sensed. When a user touches predetermined key buttons among the plurality of key buttons such that the key buttons contact their associated touchpad pieces in a state where a menu screen is displayed, the predetermined key buttons serve as navigation key buttons for changing a menu screen between main menus or shifting a highlight between submenus. Upon detecting a touch-drag for a plurality of key buttons in a menu mode, menu items displayed on the menu screen are sorted or highlight-scrolled according to a predetermined condition for the touch-dragged key button group.

    Abstract: A method and system for performing three-dimensional holographic microscopy of an optically trapped one dimensional structure. The method and system use an inverted optical microscope, a laser source which generates a trapping laser beam wherein the laser beam is focused by an objective lens into a plurality of optical traps. The method and system also use a collimated laser at an imaging wavelength to illuminate the structure created by the optical traps. Imaging light scattered by the optically tapped structure forms normalized intensity holograms that are imaged by a video camera and analyzed by optical formalisms to determine light field to reconstruct 3-D images for analysis and evaluation.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing content in a broadcast system is provided. Upon receipt of a request for synchronization from a mobile terminal, a set-top box creates a recommended content list based on user information received from the mobile terminal and delivers the recommended content list to the mobile terminal. The set-top box receives from the mobile terminal a content list, selected from the recommended content list and included in a Personal Information Management System (PIMS) updated using the recommended content list. The set-top box determines whether a user of the mobile terminal intends to view content from the received content list at a start time of the content.
