摘要: In an optical device, small lenses are arranged in two or more rows to constitute a lens array, a plurality of such lens arrays are superimposed with each other between first and second planes, the distance between the optical axes of the rows of small lenses in at least one lens array is set to be different from that in the remaining lens arrays, and a multiple image of an optical image on the first plane is formed on an imaging surface. The distance between the optical axes can be changed by shifting the optical axis of one lens array among a plurality of small lenses forming one imaging system in the lens arrays from those of remaining lenses. The direction and amount of such lens offset are properly selected to suppress moire. Another important invention concerns a document reader having a lens system of such an optical device, a line image sensor having tricolor separation filters arranged in the imaging surface in the horizontal scanning direction in correspondence with picture elements, and filters arranged in the optical paths of corresponding rows of small lenses of the lens arrays and capable of transmitting light of corresponding colors. A multiple image is a double image or a triple image. Moire and color misregistration are prevented, and an image quality substantially equivalent to a color system having a plurality of color separation imaging surfaces is obtained.

摘要: A test fixture for circuit cards comprising a probe board bearing electrical test probes in a fixed position with respect to the overlying test surface. A flexible sheet is supported by the probes and serves to stabilize their relative positions. The circuit card is held against the probes by vacuum force applied utilizing a thin plastic layer overlying the circuit card. The test probe utilized in the test fixture has a conductive shaft tapering to a cylindrical tip on which a conductive spring and a conductive contact cap are slidably mountable. The cap is tapered down to the tip, and the spring is designed to engage both the tapered portions of the cap and of the shaft. A twisting motion of the cap causes the spring to electrically and physically connect the cap and the shaft. The cap also an indentation for interlocking with the flexible sheet of the test fixture.

摘要: The holographic recording system comprises a pair of aligned first and second Fourier transforming lenses, a holographic beam splitter having a series of random phase illumination holograms at a front focal plane of the first lens and arranged to move in a given direction to successively receive a light beam for deffracting it into a zero-order diffracted beam and a first-order diffracted array of sampled, phase shifted beams, and a mask having a first and second apertures disposed at the Fourier transform plane of the first lens. A page composer having electrooptical transducers is positioned in the second aperture to receive the first-order diffracted array of beams to spatially optically modulate the incident beams in accordance with one of successive groups of binary signals. The zero-order diffracted beam is allowed to pass through the first aperture and the first-order diffracted array of spatially modulated beams are focused by the second lens to produce interference fringes between the wavefronts of zero- and first-order beams on a Fourier transform plane of the second lens on which a recording medium is positioned. The holographic beam splitter and the recording medium are conjugate to each other relative to the lens system and moved in opposite directions at equal speeds in synchronism with the occurrence of each group of binary signals, a series of two-dimensional holograms of the binary information is recorded.

摘要: Method of forming an electrode for imprinting or imaging a circuit board mold face includes covering a graphite substrate with a photoresist material. The photoresist material is appropriately exposed to develop a desired pattern. The unpolymerized photoresist is removed from the graphite substrate to leave the desired pattern of an exposed graphite surface. The graphite substrate is then impacted by a dry air blast of glass beads having a size in the range of approximately 200 to 325 mesh. The glass beads will remove a desired amount of graphite to thereby cut the desired pattern into the substrate but will not remove the photoresist or affect the substrate beneath the polymerized photoresist. The polymerized photoresist is removed with materials that will not interfere with the subsequent machining process. The resultant cut graphite substrate can be utilized as a electrode in an electrical discharge machining process to form a desired pattern in a mold face.
