They are also superior to gaseous chain transfer agents such as ethane because they do not enter the fluoromonomer gas recycle streams and so do not complicate the analysis and purification of those streams.

    摘要: This invention concerns polymers, having fluoroalkoxy side chains, which are made by a novel process comprising reacting a polymer containing hydroxyl groups, especially poly(vinyl alcohol), with a fluorinated olefin in the presence of a base. The resulting polymers are useful in coatings, as in optical wave guides, and antireflective coatings and in other optical devices.

    摘要: A metal exchanged fluorinated ionomer is a copolymer minimally including repeating units of (i) a polymerized derivative of a perfluorinated cyclic or cyclizable monomer and (ii) a strong acid highly fluorinated vinylether compound in which the acid moiety is exchanged with a cation of a Group 11 metal. Metal exchanged fluorinated ionomers are readily soluble and can be formed into thin, selectively gas permeable membranes by solution deposition methods. These membranes are suitable for separating olefins from gas olefin/paraffin mixtures. Good selectivity and transmembrane flux can be obtained without humidifying the membrane feed gas mixture.

    摘要: Fluorinated copolymers useful in photoresist compositions and associated processes for microlithography are described. These copolymers are comprised of a fluoroalcohol or protected fluoroalcohol functional group which simultaneously imparts high ultraviolet (UV) transparency and developability in basic media to these materials and a repeat unit derived from an acrylate monomer containing a fluoroalkyl group or a hydroxyl substituted alkyl group. The materials of this invention have high UV transparency, particularly at 193 and 157 nm, which makes them highly useful for lithography at these short wavelengths.
