Abstract: A prosthetic device, such as a prosthetic heart valve, can include a radially compressible and expandable frame and a screw actuator that is coupled to the frame and configured to be rotated to radially expand the frame from a radially compressed state to a first radially expanded state. The frame includes an over-expansion structure that is configured to allow relative sliding movement between the screw actuator and the frame in a longitudinal direction to permit the frame to radially expand from the first radially expanded state to a second radially expanded state when an external expansion force applied to the prosthetic heart valve exceeds a predetermined force.

Abstract: A docking device can include a radially expandable and compressible frame and an actuator. The frame can include a first sub-frame having a first plurality of struts pivotably coupled to one another, a second sub-frame having a second plurality of struts pivotably coupled to one another, and one or more linking struts extending from a first end of the frame to a second end of the frame and coupling the first sub-frame and the second sub-frame to one another. The actuator can include a first member coupled to the frame at a first location and a second member coupled to the frame at a second location axially spaced from the first location. Abstract: An implantable prosthetic valve can include a frame movable between a radially compressed and a radially expanded configuration. The frame can include a first strut having a first locking feature disposed on a radially facing inner surface of the strut and a second strut having a second locking feature disposed on a radially facing outer surface of the strut. The first and second locking features can engage each other so as to allow pivoting of the first and second struts relative to one another in a first direction upon radial expansion of the frame and resist pivoting of the first and second struts relative to one another in a second direction to resist radial compression of the frame.

Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve can include a radially expandable and compressible annular frame, a valvular structure, and a commissure cover. The frame can include a plurality of struts defining the annular frame, and a plurality of commissure support structures each defining a commissure opening positioned along a circumference of the annular frame. The valvular structure can be mounted within the frame, the valvular structure including a plurality of commissures each extending radially through a respective commissure opening to attach the valvular structure to the frame, each commissure having an outflow edge that extends from a radial outer surface of the frame. The commissure cover can be disposed at least partially over the outflow edge of the commissure and can define a ramped surface that extends from the radial outer surface of the frame to a radial outer surface of the commissure.

Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve can include a radially expandable and compressible frame and a valvular structure. The frame can include a plurality of circumferentially spaced axial struts, a plurality of pairs of axial posts, and a plurality of rows of angled struts. Each pair of axial posts can be positioned circumferentially between two axial struts. The plurality of rows can include at least a first row, a second row downstream of the first row, a third row downstream of the second row, and a fourth row downstream of the third row. Each of the angled struts can be connected at one end to one of the axial struts and at another end to one of the axial posts. The angled struts of the first and fourth rows can be shorter than the struts of the second and third rows.

Abstract: This disclosure is directed to prosthetic heart valves and frames for prosthetic heart valves having actuation assemblies with at least two bolts coupled to each other. The actuation assembly with at least two bolts allow different portions of the actuation assembly to be designed to meet different needs. In one example, the actuation mechanism can include a first bolt coupled end-to-end with a second bolt. The second bolt can have a greater diameter and correspondingly greater mechanical strength than the first bolt. The first bolt can have a lesser diameter suitable for minimizing the thickness of surrounding and adjacent valve frame components. The actuation assembly can also include one or more of a nut, a washer, and a portion designed to attach to components of a delivery system. Also disclosed herein are actuation assemblies including a washer secured by a pin extending through the bolt of the actuation assembly.

Deploying the valve includes radially expanding the prosthetic valve by rotating the screw with the delivery apparatus.
