Abstract: An automated driving system includes an object detection system. A neural network image encoder generates image embeddings associated with an image including an object. A neural network text encoder generates concept embeddings associated with each of a plurality of concepts. Each of the plurality of concepts is associated with one of at least two object classes. A confidence score module generates a confidence score for each of the plurality of concepts based on the image embeddings and the concept embeddings associated with the concept. An object class prediction module generates a predicted object class of the object based on an association between a set of concepts of the plurality of concepts having at least two of the highest values of the generated confidence scores and the one of the at least two object classes associated with a majority of the set of concepts.

Abstract: A system for determining when additional information is needed by a passenger with color deficient vision within a vehicle includes a plurality of perception sensors within the vehicle adapted to collect data related to a physical identity of a primary object and to communicate the data related to the physical identity of the primary object, via a communication bus, to a data processor within the vehicle, the data processor adapted to determine that the physical identity of the primary object may be unclear to a passenger with color deficient vision based on the data related to the physical identity of the primary object, and that assistance should be provided to the passenger with color deficient vision to aid the passenger with color deficient vision in identifying the primary object.

Abstract: A computer is provided for a system of a motor vehicle, with the system including one or more perception sensors generating sensor data and one or more output devices performing an action, in response to the output device receiving an output signal. The computer includes one or more processors coupled to the perception sensor and the output device, with the processor having a Rich Execution Environment (REE) and a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE). The computer further includes a non-transitory computer readable storage medium (CRM) including instructions such that the at least one processor is programmed to: receive the sensor data from the perception sensor; transfer the sensor data from the REE to the TEE; homomorphically encrypt the sensor data in the TEE; and calculate the encrypted output based on the encrypted sensor data in the REE and a plurality of weights of a homomorphically encrypted neural network in the REE.
