摘要: The present exemplary embodiment relates to the use of electronic display materials for electric paper applications. It utilizes an elastomeric ground plane to render electric paper applications more flexible than has been heretofore realized. In other forms, all layers of the electric paper are formed with elastomeric material to provide further flexibility and stretchability.

摘要: An electronic display includes an electronic display material having two opposing outer surfaces, wherein at least one of the outer surfaces is at least partially covered in a plurality of spaced-apart charge-retaining islands comprised of a conductive material with areas of insulating material interposed therebetween. A charge transfer device is arranged in operative association with the display material, and includes a first component made of a pliable, nonconductive material and at least one conductive portion, and a second component configured to support the first component. Alternatively, a charge transfer device is configured to transfer an electric charge to charge-retaining islands of an electric display, where the charge-retaining islands are on a surface of the electric display and are spaced apart with areas of insulating material interspersed therebetween. The charge transfer device includes a first component made of a pliable nonconductive material and at least one conductive portion, and a second component made of a material to support the first component.

摘要: A joint device for a robotic surgery tool includes a yoke and two links movably coupled with the yoke. The yoke may include a circumferential base, forming a central opening and four cylindrical pivot bosses extending laterally from the base at ninety-degree intervals. A first link is movably coupled with a first set of two of the four cylindrical pivot bosses and extends from the yoke in a first direction, such that the first link pivots in a first plane relative to the yoke. A second link is movably coupled with a second set of two of the four cylindrical pivot bosses and extends from the yoke in a second direction, such that the second link pivots in a second plane orthogonal to the first plane. Thus, the joint device provides for movement in two opposed planes from one yoke.

摘要: Described herein are elongate device for modifying tissue having a plurality of flexibly connected rungs or links, and methods of using them, including methods of using them to decompress stenotic spinal tissue. These devices may be included as part of a system for modifying tissue. In general, these devices include a plurality of blades positioned on (or formed from) rungs that are flexibly connected. The rungs are typically rigid, somewhat flat and wider than they are long (e.g., rectangular). The rungs may be arranged, ladder like, and may be connected by a flexible connector substrate or between two or more cables. Different sized rungs may be used. The blades (on the rungs) may be arranged in a staggered arrangement. A tissue-collection or tissue capture element (e.g., chamber, bag, or the like) may be used to collect the cut or modified tissue. In some variations the tissue modification devices may have a non-linear axial shape, or may be converted from a first axial shape to a second axial shape.
