Abstract: Disclosed is a transmission having: an input shaft configured to rotationally communicate with a gas turbine engine; an output shaft configured to rotationally communicate with an aircraft accessory; and a gear system connected between the input shaft and the output shaft, the gear system including: a plurality of clutches that are axially aligned and radially offset, the plurality of clutches configured to engage in parallel the output shaft and shift the transmission to generate a plurality gear speeds; and a plurality of pistons that are configured to engage the respective plurality of clutches, the plurality of pistons being hydraulically controlled and adapted to receive fluid from a respective plurality of ports in the output shaft.

Abstract: A hydraulic clutch assembly can include a shaft defining a shaft channel, one or more hydraulic ports defined through the shaft, and one or more lubrication holes defined through the shaft. A porting manifold can be disposed at least partially within the shaft channel. The porting manifold can include a control pressure path in fluid communication with the one or more hydraulic ports and a lubrication flow path in fluid communication with the one or more lubrication holes. The control pressure path and the lubrication path can be fluidly isolated in the porting manifold.

Abstract: A ram air turbine having: a strut assembly having an outer housing enclosing a first inner chamber; a generator housing operatively connected to the strut assembly, the generator housing having an outer surface enclosing a second inner chamber, the second inner chamber being fluidly connected to first inner chamber; a turbine assembly operably connected to the strut assembly, the turbine assembly in operation rotates in freestream air; and a power generation device mechanically connected to the turbine assembly and located within the second inner chamber, the power generation device generates power as turbine assembly rotates. The strut assembly includes a first screen portion having a plurality of inlet holes integrally formed in the outer housing. The generator housing includes a second screen portion having a plurality of outlet holes integrally formed in the outer surface. Freestream air passes through inlet holes, over the power generation device, and out outlet holes.

The system also includes a radial shaft seal positioned radially outward from the axially rotatable object. The system also includes a sleeve coupled to the axially rotatable object, positioned between the axially rotatable object and the radial shaft seal and comprising a second material that is corrosion resistant.
