摘要： A method and apparatus for controlling video data in a wireless terminal having a normal video communication mode and a video mute mode is provided. The wireless terminal can be switched to the video mute mode if a user selects the video mute mode during normal video communication mode, thereby enabling video data preselected by the user to be presented on the terminal's display and transmitted to a distant party. The terminal can also display and transmit preselected video data if no video data is received from a distant party within a given time.

摘要： Disclosed is a method of fabricating a liquid crystal display (LCD) device in which a photosensitive film is selectively patterned using a half-tone mask, and then a portion of a passivation layer at a pixel area is selectively removed to secure an penetration path of a stripper. Additionally, a crack is generated on a conductive film formed on a photosensitive film pattern through a predetermined heat treatment to facilitate a lift-off process. Thus, the number of masks can be reduced to simplify the fabrication process of the LCD device and reduce fabrication costs.

The pitch detection apparatus for use in a vocoder includes a bandwidth expansion unit for performing an inverse-filtering process and a bandwidth expansion process on an input voice signal, and generating a bandwidth-expanded residual signal; a pitch analyzer for calculating a time autocorrelation function and a spectral autocorrelation function of the bandwidth-expanded residual signal, mixing the time autocorrelation function and the spectral autocorrelation function, comparing an autocorrelation function calculated by dividing a pitch acquired from the mixed autocorrelation function by an integer multiple with another autocorrelation function acquired at a predetermined pitch, and determining a point or position having the highest value to be an open-loop pitch; a pitch smoothing unit for smoothing the open-loop pitch using an average pitch value when the detected open-loop pitch is outside of a predetermined range of a previous frame; and a pitch quantizer for quantizing the smoothened open-loop pitch into predetermined levels, and generating the quantized result.
