    摘要: The present invention provides a sputter profile simulation method which reduces a calculation time. The method comprises the steps of calculating sputter trajectories of particles emitted from a sputter target; projecting the sputter trajectories onto one or more first planes; extracting an outline of a contact hole on a second plane parallel to one of the first planes; defining two shadow points preventing the particles from going to a film-growth calculation coordinates point; and judging that, out of the sputter particle trajectories projected on the first plane, the sputter trajectories between two lines as film-growth contributing trajectories, the two lines joining the film-growth calculation coordinates point to each of the two shadow points.

    摘要: A high-resistance substrate with good RF characteristics, which has an interstitial oxygen concentration ([Oi]) of 8E17 cm−3 or less, an oxygen precipitate density ([BMD]) of 1E8 cm−3 or more, and a substrate resistivity of 500 &OHgr;·cm or more is used. A heat-treating step of the device process is performed for 25 hrs or less as a value calculated assuming that the temperature is 1,000° C. This suppresses a decrease in the resistance of the substrate, prevents crystal defects such as slip, and improves the yield.

    摘要: A wavelength division multi/demultiplexer multi/demultiplexes incident light to emit demultiplexed lights from each of a plurality of light output ends and includes a first wavelength division multi/demultiplexing circuit having at least one light input end and a plurality of light output end; and second wavelength division multi/demultiplexing circuits of AWG type formed on a substrate, including a plurality of light input and output ends, one or two light multiplexing and demultiplexing sections, and a plurality of arrayed waveguides, and having a transmission bandwidth different from that of the first circuit, the transmission bandwidth indicating the width of a light frequency that can pass through each light input and output end, wherein the first circuit and at least one of the second circuits are optically connected together, and wherein the light output ends of the final second circuit are used as the light output ends of the wavelength division multi/demultiplexer. It is possible to greatly increase the number of channels of the wavelength division multi/demultiplexer using the AWG type wavelength division multi/demultiplexing circuit.

    摘要: An electrometer having small width size and stable characteristics includes a chopper portion for chopping electric line of force emitted from an object to be measured. The chopper portion is constituted with a tuning fork type bending vibrator including a first metal plate as a detection electrode portion for receiving electric line of force, a second metal plate and an insulating plate for connecting the first and second metal plates in a plane. The bending vibrator is arranged such that its vibrating direction is coincident with direction of electric line of force, so that the width size of the electrometer can be reduced and the characteristics thereof can be stabilized.
