摘要: An embroidery machine having a plurality of beds and corresponding heads. In each of the heads, a plurality of needle bars supporting needles and thread take up levers are provided. Each bed contains a rotary hook drive motor provided independent of a sewing machine motor which drives a spindle extending through the heads. The rotary hook drive motor is driven in synchronization with the spindle for performing embroidery stitching, but is driven independently of the spindle at a specific rotation angle range thereof based on number of stitching. In each bed, a conventional needle thread holding mechanism is dispensed with. By controlling rotation of the rotary hook drive motor, a residual end part of the needle thread has a sufficient length capable of avoiding disengagement of the residual end part from an eyelet of the needle at a thread cutting operation.

摘要: A laminated non-woven fabric comprising a laminated material of an intermediate layer of a melt-blown non-woven fabric obtained by melt-blowing an olefin-type resin, an inner and outer layers of a spun-bonded non-woven fabric which chiefly consists of polyester-type fibers and in which the fibers are bonded together locally and at a coarse density, wherein the fibers constituting the inner and outer layers are inserted in the melt-blown non-woven fabric and are intermingled with fibers in the melt-blown non-woven fabric or in the spun-bonded non-woven fabrics of the opposite sides, so that the layers are coupled together as a unitary structure, and a process for producing the same. In the laminated non-woven fabric, the melt-blown non-woven fabric and the spun-bonded non-woven fabrics are fastened and stuck together free of defects to exhibit softness, porosity, water resisting property and like properties possessed by the melt-blown non-woven fabric as well as strength, hand, touch and like properties possessed by the spun-bonded non-woven fabric to their maximum degrees.

摘要: An immunity-inducing agent comprising as an effective ingredient(s) at least one polypeptide selected from the following polypeptides, the polypeptide(s) having an immunity-inducing activity/activities, or as an effective ingredient(s) a recombinant vector(s) which comprise(s) a polynucleotide(s) encoding the polypeptide(s) and is/are capable of expressing the polypeptide(s) in vivo can be used for therapy and/or prophylaxis of cancer: (a) a polypeptide consisting essentially of not less than 7 consecutive amino acids in any one of the amino acid sequences shown in the odd number IDs of SEQ ID NOs:3 to 95 in SEQUENCE LISTING; (b) a polypeptide having a sequence identity of not less than 90% with the polypeptide (a) and consisting essentially of not less than 7 amino acids; and (c) a polypeptide comprising the polypeptide (a) or (b) as a partial sequence thereof. Further, since the above polypeptide(s) react(s) with antibodies existing specifically in serum of a cancer patient, it is possible to detect cancer in a living body by measuring the antibodies in a sample.

摘要: A fluorescent tube is prevented from being wrongly attached and broken when being attached, and luminance nonuniformity of backlight due to luminance difference generated in the tube axis direction of the fluorescent tube is reduced. In a backlight device (2), a plurality of fluorescent tube sets, each of which is composed of four fluorescent tubes (21) having electrodes (211) at the both ends and a pair of lamp holders (5) storing portions close to the both electrodes at the both ends of the four fluorescent tubes (21), and the fluorescent tube sets are driven by a pair of inverter circuit board. The backlight device (2) is provided with a power transmitting member (10), which is connected to electrodes (211) at the ends on one side of the two fluorescent tubes (21), for every two adjacent fluorescent tubes configuring the fluorescent tube set, gathers wirings (9) from the electrodes (211) at the ends and transmits power; and a conduction member (7), which is connected to the electrodes (211) on the other side of the two fluorescent tubes and permits a current to flow between the electrodes at the other ends. In the lamp holder (5), the power transmitting members (10) and the conductive members (7) are alternately arranged.
