Abstract: Procedures and mechanisms for narrowband multi-channel transmission for wakeup radio (WUR) operation are disclosed. A station (STA) operating in WUR mode may have its a primary connectivity radio (PCR) turned off and its WUR turned and operating according to previously negotiated WUR operating parameters. The STA may monitor, for WUR beacons and frames over a first WUR channel, and determine that the first WUR channel does not support reliable transmission based on no beacons being received within a first duration. The STA may turn off the WUR, and turn on the PCR to send a first short WUR frame including a wakeup reason, and receive a second short WUR frame with a WUR channel assignment. The STA may turn off the PCR, turn on the WUR, and monitor for WUR signals on a second WUR channel according to the WUR channel assignment and the previously negotiated WUR operating parameters.

Abstract: An access point (AP) that supports the IEEE 802.11ba protocol may transmit a frame including a physical layer (PHY) preamble to one or more stations (STAs) over a channel. The PHY preamble may include a plurality of repeated modulated legacy signal (L-SIG) fields to spoof a recipient of the frame and protect a wake up signal (WUS) to be subsequently transmitted by the AP. The AP may transmit the WUS to at least a first STA of the one or more STAs, wherein the at least the first STA is a IEEE 802.11ba compliant STA.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for physical (PHY) layer multiplexing of different types of traffic in 5G systems. A device may receive a communication. The communication may include a first traffic type. The device may monitor the communication for an indication that the communication includes a second traffic type that is multiplexed with and/or punctures the first traffic type. An indicator received in the communication and detected by the monitoring may indicate where the second traffic type is located in the communication. The first traffic type and the second traffic type may be multiplexed at a resource element (RE) level. For example, a first traffic type may be punctured by a second traffic type at the RE level. The device may decode one or more of the first or second traffic types in the communication based on the indication.

Abstract: Systems and methods for multidimensional beam refinement procedures and signaling for millimeter wave WLANs. In some embodiments, there are multi-dimensional enhanced beam refinement protocol MAC and PHY frame designs that extend the MAC packet and the PPDU format with or without backwards compatibility. The multiple dimensions may be supported jointly or separately. In other embodiments, the increased data signaled in the eBRP frame designs may be more efficiently signaled with reduced BRP frame sizes, such as through a training type dependent BRP minimum duration selection procedure or use of null data packet BRP frames. In further embodiments, the maximum duration of the interframe spacing between BPR packets may be varied to improve the efficiency of BRP operation.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for phase noise reference signal (PNRS) transmission, comprising receiving, at a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU), scheduling information for a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) transmission, wherein the scheduling information includes an indication of a set of physical resource blocks (PRBs) and a modulation coding scheme (MCS) level, determining a density for the PNRS transmission based on at least one of: the MCS level, a frequency band for the PUSCH transmission, or a subcarrier spacing of the PUSCH transmission, and transmitting the PUSCH in the scheduled set of PRBs using the determined density of PNRS.

Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a first signal including a primary synchronization signal (PSS) and a secondary synchronization signal (SSS) in a cell. The PSS and SSS may use a first numerology. Further, the first numerology may have a first subcarrier spacing, while other resources of the cell at a same time as the PSS or the SSS use a second numerology with a different subcarrier spacing than the first numerology. In addition, the WTRU may synchronize to a timing of the cell based on the PSS and SSS. Also, the WTRU may receive a second signal in the cell, and the second signal may use the second numerology. Moreover, the WTRU may transmit user data. In a further example, the WTRU may search a frequency raster for the PSS and the SSS.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for multiple AP coordination in wireless local area networks (WLANs). For example, a station (STA) may receive, from a first access points (APs), a probe response frame that includes one or more indicators indicating multiple AP operation capabilities of the first AP and a second AP. The STA may transmit, to at least one of the first AP or the second AP, a multiple AP association request frame that enables the first AP to be associated with the second AP for a multiple AP operation. The STA may receive, from the first AP, a first multiple AP association response frame indicating acceptance or rejection of the multiple AP operation with the first AP. The STA may receive, from the second AP, a second multiple AP association response frame indicating acceptance or rejection of the multiple AP operation with the second AP.

Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a first signal including a primary synchronization signal (PSS) and a secondary synchronization signal (SSS). Abstract: A method implemented by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) having multiple antennas includes determining, by the WTRU, information that is associated with a baseband channel and that indicates any of measurement information and channel information, and transmitting, by the WTRU, a signal for requesting baseband beam tracking, on condition that any of: (1) the WTRU determines, according to the indicated information, that: (i) system performance is degraded in a hybrid beamforming transmission, and (ii) re-estimation of the baseband channel is part of a current link adaptation procedure, and (2) detailed baseband channel information was not part of a multiple-in multiple-out (MIMO) setup procedure.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for network discovery. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may transmit, to a first access point (AP), via a Primary Connectivity Radio (PCR), a request indicating that on a condition that the WTRU is disassociated from the first AP, the WTRU will enter a wake-up radio (WUR) only discovery mode. The WTRU may receive, from the first AP, via the PCR, a management frame that has WUR discovery elements including an indication of at least one channel used by a second AP. The WTRU may perform disassociation from the first AP. The WTRU may activate a WUR and deactivate the PCR. On a condition that the WTRU is disassociated from the first AP, the WTRU may receive, from the second AP, via the WUR, a WUR frame over the at least one channel to enable the WTRU to activate the PCR to initiate association.
