Abstract: Methods and apparatus for burst transmission are provided. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) is configured to receive configuration information for a periodic search space (P-SS) and a semi-persistent search space (SP-SS). The configuration information may include a monitoring periodicity of the P-SS and a monitoring periodicity of the SP-SS. The P-SS may be associated with the SP-SS. The WTRU is configured to monitor the P-SS with the periodicity of the P-SS. The WTRU is configured to receive a first message in a first physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in a slot of the P-SS. The first message may indicate an activation of the associated SP-SS. The WTRU is configured to monitor the SP-SS using the periodicity of the SP-SS. The WTRU is configured to receive a second message in a second PDCCH in a slot of the SP-SS.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting uplink control information (UCI) for Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) using carrier aggregation is disclosed. Methods for UCI transmission in the uplink control channel, uplink shared channel or uplink data channel are disclosed. The methods include transmitting channel quality indicators (CQI), precoding matrix indicators (PMI), rank indicators (RI), hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgement/non-acknowledgement (ACK/NACK), channel status reports (CQI/PMI/RI), source routing (SR) and sounding reference signals (SRS). In addition, methods for providing flexible configuration in signaling UCI, efficient resource utilization, and support for high volume UCI overhead in LTE-A are disclosed.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for random access in multicarrier wireless communications are disclosed. Methods and apparatus are provided for physical random access channel (PRACH) resource signaling, PRACH resource handling, preamble and PRACH resource selection, random access response (RAR) reception, preamble retransmission, and transmission and reception of subsequent messages. A method for maintaining an allowed multicarrier uplink (UL) random access channel (RACH) configuration set by adding an UL carrier to the allowed RACH configuration set provided that a triggering event occurs and performing a random access (RA) procedure using the allowed RACH configuration set. A method for sending data in multicarrier wireless communications by determining a set of available UL carriers and selecting an UL carrier from the set of available UL carriers.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for phase noise reference signal (PNRS) transmission, comprising receiving, at a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU), scheduling information for a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) transmission, wherein the scheduling information includes an indication of a set of physical resource blocks (PRBs) and a modulation coding scheme (MCS) level, determining a density for the PNRS transmission based on at least one of: the MCS level, a frequency band for the PUSCH transmission, or a subcarrier spacing of the PUSCH transmission, and transmitting the PUSCH in the scheduled set of PRBs using the determined density of PNRS.

Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive configuration information indicating a set of physical channel frequency resources. The WTRU may receive indication information indicating an allocation of at least a subset of the set of physical channel frequency resources. Further, the WTRU may determine a time period, and one or more physical channel frequency resources from the subset of the set of physical channel frequency resources. The WTRU may transmit data in a physical shared channel transmission using the determined one or more physical shared channel frequency resources during the determined time period. Further, the WTRU may determine a time location for reception of hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) information associated with the transmitted data, and the determination of the time location may be based on the subset of the set of physical channel frequency resources. The WTRU may receive the HARQ-ACK information during the determined time location.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) power control are described. A method includes receiving a time domain resource allocation (TDRA) list configuration including entries, each including a resource allocation that includes a slot offset value. L1 signaling is received indicating a minimum slot offset value. Downlink control information (DCI) is decoded on a physical downlink control channel in a slot. An index is obtained from the decoded DCI, identifying an entry in the TDRA list. A particular slot offset value identified by the index is retrieved from the TDRA list and compared with the minimum slot offset value. If the particular slot offset value is less than the minimum slot offset value, the entry is invalid. If the particular slot offset value is greater than or equal to the minimum slot offset value, a physical downlink shared channel is received.

Abstract: Methods for receiving downlink control information (DCI) are provided herein. A method performed by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may include receiving configuration information indicating a location of a monitoring indicator and identifying a first one or more search spaces and a second one or more search spaces. The method may include receiving a first physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) transmission including first DCI, the DCI including the monitoring indicator at the indicated location. The method may include monitoring, based on the monitoring indicator, either the first one or more search spaces or the second one or more search spaces and decoding a second PDCCH transmission detected in either the first one or more search spaces or the second one or more search spaces to receive second DCI.

Abstract: A system, method, and device for ensuring a number of Phase Tracking Reference Signal(s) (PT-RSs) are the same for multiple slots. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive control information including a number of scheduled resource blocks (RBs) then determine a PT-RS density based on the number of scheduled RBs. The WTRU may determine a RB offset value for the WTRU based on a WTRU-ID modulo the maximum RB offset value, where the maximum value for the RB offset value may be based on at least one of the number of the scheduled RBs and the PT-RS density. The WTRU may then transmit or receive a signal with PT-RS based on the RB offset value.

Abstract: A method performed by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may include receiving configuration information for reporting a power headroom (PH) associated with each of a plurality of cells, wherein a first cell uses first time intervals each having a first length and a second cell uses second time intervals each having a second length. The method may include transmitting a first uplink transmission using a first carrier frequency associated with the first cell and transmitting, in one of the second time intervals that is fully overlapped by the one of the first time intervals, based on the received configuration information, a report including information indicating a first PH corresponding to the one of the first time intervals and a second PH corresponding to the earliest one in time of the second time intervals that is fully overlapped by the one of the first time intervals.
