    摘要: A method and apparatus are used to perform a clear cycle. The apparatus includes a flow generator in fluid communication with a patient interface via a conduit arranged in a flow path, and sensors to monitor pressures in the flow path. The method includes examining a plurality of operational parameters, determining whether the flow generator should generate flow based on at least one of the plurality of operational parameters, warning the patient to avoid interfacing with the patient interface of the ventilation device prior to generating the flow, and operating the flow generator to generate the flow in accordance with at least one of the plurality of operational parameters. The clear cycle can dislodge debris or water condensate from the flow path. The clear cycle can incorporate fault detection to diagnose debris in the flow path. The clear cycle can be installed as software in a ventilation device.

    摘要: The dominant source of thermal resistance for silicon photonic devices patterned on SOI wafers is the buried oxide layer. To ensure efficient thermally driven silicon devices there is a need for a large thermal resistance. This is in contrast to temperature sensitive components need to have low thermal resistance in order to reduce their temperature to ensure good performance. Embodiments comprise etching the back of an SOI wafer to expose the buried oxide layer and depositing an additional layer of silicon oxide to increase the local thermal resistance. Thus, embodiments provide the ability to tailor the thermal resistance across the wafer or die depending on the device being fabricated.

    摘要: A haptic robotic system for reaming an acetabulum prior to inserting an acetabular cup is more accurate than conventional instruments and may reduce the risk of dislocation and improve durability of a hip implant. Disclosed is a three-dimensional tool path, referred to as a haptic volume. Once the haptic volume is implemented into the software of a haptically constrained surgical robotic system, the cutting tool or reamer can only be utilized within the haptic volume. The haptic volume guides the surgeon in preparing the final reamed bone surface with a greatly reduced chance of the reaming unintended bone and greatly increases the chance that the reaming procedure may be carried out using one reaming tool, or using a single-stage reaming process.
