Abstract: A single phase permanent magnet motor includes a stator core, windings wound around the stator core, and a permanent magnet rotor. The stator core includes an end portion and two spaced arm portions. Each arm portion includes a connecting arm connected to the end portion and a pole claw formed at a distal end of the connecting arm. The two pole claws define a space for receiving the rotor. The pole claws surround the space and form an arc pole surface. The arc pole surface is recessed to form a startup groove located at a central axis of the pole claw. The two pole claws are spaced apart to form two slot openings there between. A line connecting the two slot openings is orthogonal to the central axis of the pole claw.

Abstract: A single-phase outer-rotor motor includes a stator and a rotor surrounding the stator. The stator and rotor define therebetween an even gap. The stator includes a stator core. The stator core includes a yoke and a plurality of teeth. Each tooth includes a tooth body and a tooth tip. A winding slot formed between each two adjacent tooth bodys. Abstract: A PMDC motor has a housing, a stator magnet disposed in an interior of the housing, and a rotor core disposed within the stator magnet. A ratio of an outer diameter of the rotor core to the outer diameter of the housing is from 0.60 to 0.67. The noise of the motor during operation is reduced by increasing the thickness of the stator magnet, reducing the outer diameter of the rotor core, reducing the air gap between the magnet and the rotor core and reducing the rotational inertia of the rotor core. The motor is particularly suited for use in vehicle HVAC systems where low noise is an important requirement.

Abstract: A PMDC motor includes a housing, a stator magnet fixed to the inner circumferential surface of the housing, a rotor core received in the housing and facing the stator magnet, and rotor windings wound around the rotor core. The rotor core includes a plurality of rotor teeth, each of the rotor teeth including a tooth body and a tooth tip. A ratio of the outer diameter of the rotor core to an outer diameter of the housing is in the range of 0.6 to 0.67. Compared to the existing PMDC motor, the PMDC motor of the present invention can satisfy the same performance requirement, while reducing the size and weight of the rotor core and hence the weight of the rotor windings. In this way, the total weight and hence the moment of inertia of the rotor is reduced, thereby effectively reducing the noise generated during operation of the motor.
