摘要: A hierarchical traffic management system and method (i.e., a QoS behavioral model) are disclosed herein. The system includes a classifier operable to identify and classify incoming traffic streams and a queuing system. The queuing system includes a plurality of queues and is operable to apply scheduling policies to the traffic streams. The queues of the queuing system each include enqueue attributes configured to control a depth of the queue and dequeue attributes configured to control scheduling of the queue. The dequeue attributes include minimum bandwidth, maximum bandwidth, excess bandwidth, and priority, wherein each of the queues has one or more of the dequeue attributes defined.

摘要: Methods, apparatus, data structures, computer-readable media, and mechanisms may include or be used with a hierarchy of schedules with propagation of minimum guaranteed scheduling rates among scheduling layers in a hierarchical schedule. The minimum guaranteed scheduling rate for a parent schedule entry is typically based on the summation of the minimum guaranteed scheduling rates of its immediate child schedule entries. This propagation of minimum rate scheduling guarantees for a class of traffic can be dynamic (e.g., based on the active traffic for this class of traffic, active services for this class of traffic), or statically configured. One embodiment also includes multiple scheduling lanes for scheduling items, such as, but not limited to packets or indications thereof, such that different categories of traffic (e.g., propagated minimum guaranteed scheduling rate, non-propagated minimum guaranteed scheduling rate, high priority, excess rate, etc.) of scheduled items can be propagated through the hierarchy of schedules accordingly without being blocked behind a lower priority or different type of traffic.

摘要: A flexible carrier for carrying a plurality of containers includes a flexible sheet having a row of container receiving apertures formed therein. The flexible carrier further includes a handle integrated with respect to the flexible sheet and may further include a panel integrated with respect to at least one row of the container receiving apertures on an opposite side of the row of container receiving apertures from the handle. A package is formed by fanning out the two rows of container receiving apertures and inserting a plurality of containers, each within a respective container receiving aperture.

摘要: A disposable, integrated extracorporeal blood circuit employed during cardiopulmonary bypass surgery performs gas exchange, heat transfer, and. microemboli filtering functions in a way as to conserve volume, to reduce setup and change out times, to eliminate a venous blood reservoir, and to substantially reduce blood-air interface. Blood from the patient or prime solution is routed through an air removal device that is equipped with air sensors for detection of air. An active air removal controller removes detected air from blood in the air removal device. A disposable circuit support module is used to mount the components of the disposable, integrated extracorporeal blood circuit in close proximity and in a desirable spatial relationship to optimize priming and use of the disposable, integrated extracorporeal blood circuit. A reusable circuit holder supports the disposable circuit support module in relation to a prime solution source, the active air removal controller and other components.

摘要: Carrier stock formed from a single sheet of resilient polymeric material, such as low density polyethylene, and severable into individual carriers with integral handles. For each carrier, integrally joined band segments define container-receiving apertures. Moreover, an integral handle is joined at its ends respectively to middle portions of two outer segments, which are joined to one cross segment at a node. Stresses are distributed from each end of the handle, through the outer segment having such end joined to a middle portion thereof, to two cross segments. Perforated lines divide alternate cross segments into half segments and facilitate severance of such stock to form the individual carriers. Each half segment has an aperture-defining edge configured to provide means, which may comprise a nub, for countering tendencies of such half segment to neck down or to break. The handle has a middle leg, which is joined to the node via a frangible joint, as defined by a perforated line extending across the middle leg. The frangible joint is designed to break away when stressed.

摘要: A grille for use as a sunscreen, decorative facing, vision barrier and the like is made up of a multiplicity of modular pieces, each of which is of uniform cross section along its length. Each piece has walls terminating in spaced-apart parallel edges that define a base plane of the piece, and each piece is paired with another piece by bringing the edges of the two pieces together to produce a closed cell. An edge flange extends outwardly from a portion of the walls adjacent each edge of the piece, and a pair of closely-spaced, parallel slot flanges extend outwardly from a portion of the walls and define an outwardly open slot that is centered on a medial plane perpendicular to the base plane and parallel to the edges of the piece. The slot is, moreover, spaced from the line of intersection between the base plane and the medial plane, which line may be considered the axis of the piece, a distance substantially equal to one-half the perpendicular distance between the edge flanges. The two pieces that form each cell are interconnected by reception of the edge flanges of that cell in the slots of adjacent cells, the flanges when placed together matching the slot in cross section and being urged apart into tight frictional engagement with the slot flanges by a nail-like element.
