摘要: A system (10) for planning and scheduling service events for one or more assets includes a demand optimizer engine (12) that receives information regarding future service requirements for an asset and operating characteristics of the asset. The demand optimizer engine (12) also generates a service plan identifying one or more planned service events during which one or more services are to be performed on the asset and identifying a planned start time and a planned end time for each service event so as to minimize the amount of time the asset is non-operational and the costs associated with each service event. The system (10) also includes a supply optimizer engine (14) that receives the service plan from the demand optimizer engine (12) and generates a service schedule for one or more of the planned service events based on information regarding the flow of one or more parts used in conjunction with the services of each planned service event. The service schedule includes a scheduled start time and a scheduled end time for the one or more planned service events. The supply optimizer engine (14) communicates the service schedule to the demand optimizer engine (12) and the demand optimizer engine (12) modifies the service plan according to the service schedule received from the supply optimizer engine (14).

摘要: Methods and apparatus for providing converged communication services in a communication system are disclosed. A first endpoint of the system communicates with at least a second endpoint of the system via session initiation protocol (SIP). At least a portion of the SIP communication is controlled utilizing an application layer overlay framework which permits substantially simultaneous operation of the first endpoint in two application layer protocols, the two application layer protocols including SIP and web services protocol. The web services protocol may illustratively comprise an application layer web services transport protocol such as SOAP/HTTP. The application overlay framework comprises a web services interface, with the web services interface being configured to permit access to information associated with the SIP communication by one or more communication service applications of the system.

摘要: The present invention discloses a method for ensuring service classes of packet services, which includes limiting the rate of services with different service classes uploaded to a ringlet from an RPR station in accordance with the RPR physical packet lengths; monitoring, in real time, the rate of non-class A0 services uploaded to the ringlet from the RPR station and forwarded by the RPR station in accordance with the RPR physical packet lengths, and when the rate of the non-class A0 services exceeds the un-reserved rate of the RPR network, reporting a congestion message and adjusting the rate of the non-class A0 services uploaded to the ringlet from the RPR stations in the congestion domain. A method of rate limitation is also disclosed, by which rate limitation is conducted based on a Token Bucket according to the total length of the sent packet after encapsulation. The methods, by means of rate limitation and rate monitoring of the services uploaded to the ringlet from each RPR station according to the RPR physical packet length, can effectively overcome the shortcoming that the reserved bandwidth in the RPR can not be ensured because forwarded services unexpected occupy the bandwidth of the services uploaded to the ringlet at a downstream RPR station due to the physical layer encapsulation overhead.
