Compound C is contained in an amount from 1 to 20 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight in total of inorganic compound A and compound B.

    摘要: There are provided a photocurable composition capable of being readily cured by irradiation of ultraviolet rays and a cured product of the photocurable composition, as well as a coating composition and a coating film obtained from the coating composition. The cured product exhibits a high refractive index, a less discoloration and an excellent transparency. The present invention relates to a photocurable composition comprising (A) an episulfide compound containing a thiirane ring; and (B) a photo-base generator represented by the general formula (1): wherein Ar is phenyl, etc.; R is an alkyl group, etc.; —A+ is an ammonium ion; and X− is a borate anion, etc., and a coating composition comprising the photocurable composition and (C) a modified silicone oil, as well as a cured product and a coating film obtained from these compositions.

    摘要: A process for producing a resin used for preparing an optical material. The process comprises curing a composition comprising an ultraviolet light absorbent and an epithio compound by polymerization in the presence of a catalyst, wherein the ultraviolet light absorbent and the catalyst are in amounts, each expressed as parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the total amount of the epithio compound, which satisfy both of the following relationships (a) and (b): (a) 0.001≦ultraviolet light absorbent≦1,000, and (b) 0.001≦catalyst≦5,000. The process prevents coloration and clouding of optical material for a lens obtained by polymerization of an epithio compound caused by addition of an ultraviolet light absorbent.

    摘要: According to a preferable embodiment of the present invention, a composition for a resin comprising an inorganic compound having a sulfur atom and/or a selenium atom, an episulfide compound, and a mercaptodisulfide compound can be provided. According to another preferable embodiment of the present invention, a composition for a resin having the viscosity thereof decreased to facilitate a cast polymerization operation and thus to improve the tonality of the obtained optical material can be provided. According to still another preferable embodiment of the present invention, an optical material obtained by curing the above-described composition for a resin and having a high refractive index can be provided.
