摘要: An image pickup apparatus includes an image pickup element that includes a plurality of image pickup pixels and a plurality of focus detecting pixels, a detector configured to detect a phase difference between two images of the object on a secondary imaging plane, and a controller configured to provide focusing based on a defocus amount obtained from a detection result of the detector for a first focus detecting point, and set a correcting value used to correct a defocus amount obtained from a next detection result of the detector so that a difference can reduce between the defocus amount obtained from the detection result of the detector for the first focus detecting point and a defocus amount obtained from the focus detecting pixels for the first focus detecting point of a captured image of the object that has been captured.

摘要: Methods and systems for characterizing requests for individual items of information available from a target address as part of a request for content are provided. The characterization of requests for items of information is applied to select one of a plurality of communication channels for servicing the request. In addition, where different requests for items of information are assigned to different communication channels, those different communication channels can be used to obtain items of information from the target address simultaneously.

摘要: A method for use in a nonvolatile storage device that can resize one or more partitions prevents an address management table from becoming complicated after repeated resizing of partitions. When a partition is resized, a logical-to-physical conversion table is updated by shifting a physical block address corresponding to a partition subsequent to the resized partition by the resized amount of the partition. The method enables both logical addresses corresponding to partitions and logical addresses not corresponding to partitions to be constantly continuous to one another.

摘要: Ribbon tension detecting means (20, 21), which are formed of a plate-like lever body (35) each, are located individually on the upstream side and the downstream side of a platen (7) with respect to its travel. The plate-like lever body (35) has first and second rollers (47, 48) on the upstream and downstream sides with respect to travel of a ribbon, and swings around an axis of rotation of the second roller (48), depending on a tension of the ribbon traveling guided by the rollers (47, 48). If the amount of its swing is not less than or not more than a fixed value, a ribbon feed motor (18) or a ribbon take-up motor (19) is driven. Further, the ribbon tension detecting means (20, 21) are provided with a smoothing member which touches the ink ribbon (13) to remove wrinkles from the ink ribbon (13).
