Abstract:
A method and apparatus may be configured to receive at least one set of barring parameters from a network entity. Each set corresponds to a barring check and has a unique implicit or explicit priority. Each set of received barring parameters also corresponds to at least one application that is allowed to bypass the barring check associated with the corresponding and lower priority sets of barring parameters. An application belonging to one of the application groups corresponding to a set of barring parameters needs to pass all the barring checks according to the higher priority barring parameters to access the network. The method can also include determining whether an application bypasses the barring check associated with the corresponding and lower priority sets of barring parameters.
Abstract:
It is provided a method, including checking if a first condition for an offloading a first radio access bearer of a first radio access network of a first radio access technology to a second radio access network of a second radio access technology different from the first radio access technology is fulfilled, wherein the first condition is received for the first radio access bearer, and wherein the first condition includes a grouping information; preventing the offloading of the first radio access bearer to the second radio access network if the first condition is fulfilled.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for security handling in, for example, cells that support multiple frequency band indication are provided. One method includes receiving, for example by a source evolved node B (eNB) configured to communicate with a user equipment, a multiple frequency band indicator (MFBI) list, the multiple frequency band indicator (MFBI) list comprising at least one frequency band number listed in the same order of priority as broadcast by a target eNB. The method may further include selecting one of the at least one frequency band number for use by the source eNB, calculating a security key (KeNB*) using the DL EARFCN belonging to the selected frequency band number with the highest priority that is also supported by the user equipment, and signaling the calculated security key to the target eNB.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an apparatus including at least one processor and at least one memory including a computer program code, the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to: convey a radio resource reconfiguration message to a user device for carrying out secondary cell configuration for downlink data conveyance using inter-site carrier aggregation functionality, and obtain and/or convey information on completion of the secondary cell configuration and/or activate downlink data forwarding to a secondary cell node.
Abstract:
Method and apparatuses for handling transition of a connected device to an unsynchronised state are disclosed. In accordance with a method a trigger for move from a synchronised state is determined where after a control channel for the synchronised state is released and a move to the unsynchronised state is performed while remaining connected based on a discontinuous reception configuration defined for the unsynchronised state. The discontinuous reception configuration can be sent to the device. Control information can be sent to the device according to the discontinuous reception configuration.
Abstract:
A first method (and related first apparatus) includes transmitting, in a handover request message, an indication of a first protocol version; a second method (and related second apparatus) includes receiving, in the handover request message, the indication, deciding, based on the received indication and a second protocol version, on a value of an information element included in a handover request acknowledgement message to be transmitted, the information element indicating usage of a first or second signaling scheme, and transmitting the handover request acknowledgement message including the information element; and in the first method receiving the handover request acknowledgement message including the information element; and a third method (and related third apparatus) including receiving the handover command message including the information element, and configuring according to one of the first and second signaling schemes indicated by the information element.
