    摘要: A coupling assembly for a multiple-tube roller shade includes a support assembly for rotatably supporting and connecting adjacently located tube-end portions and a clutch mechanism providing relative rotation therebetween. The support assembly includes a tube-end fitting and a torque-transferring drive transfer member contacting the tube. The clutch mechanism includes first and second clutch members respectively engaged and separated in closed and opened positions. A pull bar is translatable within one of the shafts and is moved by a draw pin received in aligned openings of the second clutch member, the shaft and the pull bar. The shaft openings are elongated for movement of the second clutch member between the closed and opened positions. An adjustment member threadedly engages the tube-end fitting for vertical adjustment of the fitting with respect to a support panel. The tube-end fitting is secured to a bracket having elongated openings for horizontal adjustment.

    摘要: Liquid gauging apparatus using a time delay neural network for determining a quantity of liquid in a container that is not directly measurable by sensors is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a plurality of sensors and a processor. Each of the sensors are capable of measuring a respective parameter of the liquid and for producing a time varying sensor output signal representative of the respective parameter measured thereby. The processor is programmed to process the sensor output signals by a time delay neural network algorithm to determine a current quantity of the liquid in the container based on current and past parameter measurements of the sensor output signals. Also disclosed is a method of training a time delay neural network algorithm for computing a quantity of liquid in a container from current and past liquid parameter sensor measurements. The method comprises the steps of: establishing a dynamic model of liquid behavior in the container and parameter measurements of the liquid behavior sensed by a plurality of sensors; deriving from the dynamic model training data sets for a plurality of liquid quantity values, each data set comprising current and past liquid parameter sensor measurement values corresponding to a liquid quantity value of the plurality, and the corresponding liquid quantity value; and training the time delay neural network algorithm with the derived training data sets.

    摘要: An injection molded sole (10) has an upper ungrooved portion (2) and a lower tread portion (4). At least two, continuous, undulating S-shaped grooves (6) extend generally longitudinally of the tread portion between the toe and heel ends thereof, and a plurality of grooves extending generally transversely intersect the longitudinally extending undulating grooves. The grooves have a minimum depth of about 5 mm and define individual separated tread areas (28) which can be moved apart during flexing of the sole (10). The flexibility of the sole is such that when it is incorporated in footwear, it does not restrict rolling movements of the foot when walking so that a gait can be adopted which is akin to barefoot walking.

    摘要: A wireless access point may be in the form of a femtocell basestation in a cellular network. In order to establish a connection into the cellular network, an identity token is required for authorization. A remote service, accessible over a Wide Area Network such as the internet, can register with the access point. When a connected user attempts to connect to the remote service, information derived from the identity token is inserted into the data traffic. Where the identity token identifies the access point, the remote service can return location-specific information. Where the identity token identifies the connected user, the remote service can return subscriber-specific information. The access point can insert information derived directly from the identity token, or it can use the identity token to access a service identity registry, and can then insert the service identity into the data traffic.

    摘要: A stingball delivery system, having a housing, a plurality of submunitions, and a plurality of stingballs contained within the housing. The housing has a cylindrical tube and a plurality of curved segments fitted to the cylindrical tube. The cylindrical tube has a fixed end cap and a removable end cap. The submunitions are stacked within the channel defined by cylindrical tube. When the removable end cap is ejected by a pyrotechnic fuze, a plurality of pyrotechnic charges eject the submunitions from the housing individually and sequentially. The ejection of each submunition exerts a force to raise the housing several feet into the air. Each of the submunitions includes a plurality of radially distributed barrels for packaging the stingballs therein. After the submunitions are ejected from the housing, the stingballs are pyrotechnically expelled from the submunitions along predetermined trajectories.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a novel cytochrome P450-like enzyme (Aspergillus ochraceus 11 alpha hydroxylase) and an oxidoreductase (Aspergillus ochraceus oxidoreductase) isolated from cDNA library generated from the mRNA of Aspergillus ochraceus spores. When the cDNA encoding the 11 alpha hydroxylase was co-expressed in Spodoptera frugiperda (Sf-9) insect cells with the cDNA encoding human oxidoreductase as an electron donor, it successfully catalyzed the conversion of the steroid substrate 4-androstene-3,17-dione (AD) to 11 alpha-hydroxy-AD as determined by HPLC analysis. The invention also relates to nucleic acid molecules associated with or derived from these cDNAs including complements, homologues and fragments thereof, and methods of using these nucleic acid molecules, to generate, for example, polypeptides and fragments thereof. The invention also relates to the generation of antibodies that recognizes the A. ochraceus 11 alpha hydroxylase and oxidoreductase and methods of using these antibodies to detect the presence of these native and recombinant polypeptides within unmodified and transformed host cells, respectively. The invention also provides methods of expressing the Aspergillus 11 alpha hydroxylase gene separately, or in combination with human or Aspergillus oxidoreductase, in heterologous host cells, to facilitate the bioconversion of steroid substrates to their 11 alpha hydroxy-counterparts.
