    Abstract: A display device includes a display unit including a light emitting device, data and gate driver for respectively applying data and gate voltages to the display unit, and a signal controller for transmitting, to the data driver, image data having a clock embedded therein. The data driver recovers a first internal reference clock during a low period of a first frame control signal, using the image data having the clock embedded therein, compares the frequency of the recovered first internal reference clock with the frequency of a previously stored reference clock, when the frequency of the recovered first internal reference clock is within an error range of the frequency of the previously stored reference clock, outputs the recovered first internal reference clock and receives a second frame control signal, and when the second frame control signal corresponds to a CDR unit operating condition, recovers a second internal reference clock.

    Abstract: A display device for performing a sensing operation according to an embodiment of the present inventive concept includes a pixel unit including pixel circuits each including a light emitting element, a driving transistor, a switching transistor, and a sensing control transistor connected between an anode electrode and an initialization power source; a scan driver connected to the pixel circuits through horizontal lines and sequentially outputting scan signals and sensing control signals; and a sensing unit configured to sense voltages or current of first nodes each disposed between an anode electrode and a driving transistor. The scan driver simultaneously outputs the sensing control signals to the horizontal lines at every predetermined discharge cycle.

    Abstract: A display device includes a pixel unit including pixels, a compensator which generate compensation image data by scaling grayscale values of input image data based on temperature data corresponding to an ambient temperature of the pixel unit, a timing controller which generates image data based on the compensation image data, and a data driver which generates a data signal corresponding to the image data and supply the data signal to the pixels. The compensator scales the grayscale values of the input image data in a way such that the grayscale values of the input image data decrease when the ambient temperature is greater than a reference temperature. The compensator scales the grayscale values of the input image data in a way such that the grayscale values of the input image data increase when the ambient temperature is less than the reference temperature.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels, a display panel driver, and a zone compensating circuit which divides the display panel into a plurality of unit blocks, obtains load values of input image data for the unit blocks, and generates corrected image data by correcting the input image data based on the load values. Each of the load values corresponds to one of the unit blocks. The display panel driver generates a data signal for displaying an image on the display panel based on the corrected image data. When grayscale values included in the input image data are the same, a luminance of the image displayed on the display panel is decreased moving away from a center of a reference block having a largest load value among the unit blocks based on the corrected image data.
