Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a communication circuit for performing first communication and second communication, an entry-exit management circuit for controlling a door locking device, and a processor operatively connected to the communication circuit and the entry-exit management circuit. The processor establishes a connection to an external electronic device by using the first communication, transmit or receive a parameter for the second communication by using the first communication, establish a connection to the external electronic device by using the second communication, measure the distance from the external electronic device by using a first mode of the second communication, identify a key stored in the external electronic device when the measured distance is within a designated distance, activate or deactivate the door locking device by using the entry-exit management circuit on the basis of the key, and determine whether a first distance from a user of the external electronic device or a second distance from the external device is measured, on the basis of at least one of a state of the external electronic device, the first distance, and the second distance when the door locking device is deactivated, wherein the first distance may be measured using a second mode of the second communication.

Abstract: A method includes obtaining signal information based on wireless signals communicated between an electronic device and a target device. The method also includes obtaining motion information based on movement of the electronic device. The method further includes identifying first location information based on the motion information and the channel information. Additionally, the method includes identifying second location information based on the orientation of the electronic device and the AoA information. The method also includes determining whether the electronic device is in motion. The method further includes determining whether the target device is within the FoV or outside the FoV of the electronic device based in part on the first location information in response to determining that the electronic device is not in motion or the second location information in response to determining that the electronic device is in motion.

The method also includes determining that the target device is within the FoV or outside the FoV of the electronic device based on at least one of the first location information or the second location information.

The electronic device and method comprise: receiving, from a plurality of anchor nodes, signals for the localization; performing ranging measurements of the signals based on a range and an angle of arrival (AoA) of the signals; determining whether at least one of the plurality of anchor nodes is not detected based on the ranging measurements; determining, based on a determination that the at least one anchor node is not detected based on the ranging measurements, whether at least one other anchor node in the plurality of anchor nodes is located on a line of sight (LOS) from the electronic device, wherein the LOS is determined based on the AoA of the signals; and performing the localization based on the at least one other anchor node.

Abstract: In an electronic device and an operating method of an electronic device, according to various embodiments, the electronic device comprises: a communication module frequency performing communication with an external electronic device; and a security module which monitors a change in data relating to an applet for managing a key used for the authentication of the external electronic device, which manages information relating to the applet, and which stores the applet and an applet identification (AID) list including at least one AID, wherein the security module can be configured to receive, from the external electronic device, a signal for requesting the application identifier (AID) list to be transmitted, transmit the AID list to the external electronic device through the communication module in response to the reception of the requesting signal, receive, from the external electronic device, a signal for requesting information relating to an applet associated with at least one AID selected, from among AIDs included in the AID list, by the external electronic device, and transmit, to the external electronic device, information relating to an applet corresponding to the selected AID. Additional various embodiments are possible.

Abstract: A method includes, for each user of a group of users participating in a first clinical study: collecting a plurality of data associated with the user, wherein the plurality of data includes data received from a group of devices used by the user over a duration during the first clinical study; determining a state related to the user based on the plurality of data, wherein the state indicates operating conditions of the group of devices used by the user; determining an event alignment status by aligning events logged by the group of devices based on the state related to the user; and determining an individual compliance score for the user based on the event alignment status. The method also includes providing a recommended duration of the first clinical study based on the individual compliance scores of the group of users.
