摘要: A surface acoustic wave generator is provided on an optical waveguide layer of an acousto-optical material. A group of parallel light beams each made significant according to the position of the path of propagation of light are made incident on the waveguide layer at an angle satisfying the Bragg diffraction condition with respect to a surface acoustic wave, and are successively diffracted by the wave, whereby a digital amount represented by the presence of light beams of the group is converted to an analog amount in terms of the power of light.

摘要: A steam turbine blade includes a coating film formed at least a portion of a surface of the steam turbine blade, the coating film containing a ceramic matrix and nanosheet particles dispersed in the ceramic matrix. The steam turbine blade is employed as one of stator blades or one of rotor blades in a steam turbine. The steam turbine includes a turbine rotor, the rotor blades implanted in the turbine rotor, the stator blades provided in an upstream side of the corresponding rotor blades, and a turbine casing supporting the stator blades and accommodating turbine rotor, the rotor blades and the stator blades. The steam turbine is also configured such that the rotor blades are paired with the corresponding stator blades to form turbine stages arranged in an axial direction of the turbine rotor, thereby forming steam paths.

摘要: The present invention provides a combination of genes useful for information which can be used for the prediction of postoperative recurrence of gastric cancer and the acquisition of the information, a probe detecting these genes and a primer set for PCR, a method for detecting these genes using the primer and the primer set and a method for obtaining the information which can be used for the prediction of recurrence. Information useful for the prediction of postoperative recurrence can be obtained by determining the presence or absence of gastric cancer cells which show a possibility of postoperative recurrence in a sample such as an peritoneal wash collected from a patient by detecting a particular gene specific to gastric cancer cells or a gene product thereof.

摘要: A technique allowing the pictographic characters or the face marks to be converted to, for example, the corresponding, but more expressive and more vivid facial image of high picture quality and thereby to achieve compact but smooth and amusing communication.Images are distributed via e-mail constructed so that, when a text accompanied with pictographic characters is transmitted from a user terminal and received by a communication processor of a server a registering station and an image/text processor read out user-registered images corresponding to the ideographic characters from a user database are then combined these images with the text back such combination sent back to the user terminal via the communication processor. Thus, it is also possible for the image processor to utilize the image database for the purpose of synthesis of a morphing processed image, as a user instruct it, and to distribute the text accompanied with such morphing processed image.
