摘要: An electro-developing recording medium has a reference zone exhibiting a substantially-constant transparency to prepare correction data for correcting image pixel signals obtained by an optical and electronic reading of a developed image of the electro-developing recording medium. The reference zone is located at a margin area of an image recording area of the electro-developing recording medium. Further, the reference zone is located adjacent to a side edge of the image recording area of the electro-developing recording medium. The electro-developing recording medium includes an electrostatic information recording medium and an electric charge keeping medium. The electric charge keeping medium has the reference zone exhibiting the substantially-constant transparency. The electric charge keeping medium is formed as a liquid crystal display, and the reference zone can be defined as an empty space from which a portion of a liquid crystal of the liquid crystal display has been eliminated. In the alternative, the reference zone can be defined as a plenum space which is filled with a portion of a liquid crystal of the liquid crystal display, and which is arranged such that an electric field is applied to the plenum space so as to exhibit a constant and maximum transparency.

摘要: A movement control device has a DC motor by which a recording medium is moved by one frame of image, and a stepping motor by which a recording medium is moved by a small predetermined amount. A driven gear fixed on the output shaft of the DC motor is meshed with a gear of a moving mechanism on which the recording medium is mounted. A clutch has a transmitting gear which is rotatably supported by an rotatable arm and can be meshed with the driven gear. The rotatable arm is rotated by the stepping motor. When the stepping motor is rotated in the forward direction, the rotatable arm is rotated in a first direction, and thus the transmitting gear is meshed with the driven gear at a first point. When the stepping motor is rotated in the reverse direction, the rotatable arm is rotated in a second direction reverse to the first direction, and thus the transmitting gear is meshed with the driven gear at a second point different from the first point.

摘要: An image sensing device provided in a camera using an electro-developing recording medium which electronically develops an image formed by a photographing optical system. During descending of the electro-developing recording medium, a light outputted from a light source passes through the electro-developing recording medium, so that an image recorded in the electro-developing recording medium is read by a line sensor. When an image is recorded on the electro-developing recording medium, the line sensor is directed to a sub-mirror provided to a quick return mirror. Thus, a light led from the photographing optical system is detected by the line sensor, so that an auto-focusing condition of the photographing optical system is sensed based on an output signal of the line sensor.

摘要: An image signal recording operation control device is provided in a still video camera. The control device has a photographing optical system by which an image is formed on an electro-developing recording medium, by which the image is electronically developed. The control device also has a scanner optical system by which the image developed by the electro-developing recording medium is formed on a sensor imaging plane. A line sensor is provided for scanning on the sensor imaging plane to read out the image. When the electro-developing recording medium is not mounted in the still video camera, i.e., when an aerial image formed by the photographing optical system is read by the line sensor, the scanner optical system is displaced by a predetermined amount along the optical axis, in comparison with a state in which the electro-developing recording medium is mounted, so that the scanner optical system can form an in-focus image on the sensor imaging plane.

摘要: A computer system includes a computer and a peripheral device. A communication cable, used to connect the peripheral device to the computer, has a first cable, a second cable and a patch unit. The first cable encloses a set of power lines and a set of data lines, and the second cable encloses a set of data lines. The patch unit includes a socket with first and second contacts. In the patch unit, the sets of data lines of the first and second cables are connected. One of the power lines is connected to the first contact, and another of the power lines is connected to the second contact. The first cable connects the patch unit with the peripheral device, and the second cable connects the patch unit with the computer. When power is applied from an external source to the first and second contacts, the power is supplied from the first and second contacts to the peripheral device.

摘要: An electro-developing type camera using an electro-developing recording medium comprises a photographing lens system for forming an optical image on the medium to record and develop the image therein, a finder for viewing the image obtained by the lens system, and an image reader for optically and electronically reading the developed image of the medium. The reader includes an image sensor, a light source for emitting a light beam, and an optical guide system for making the emitted light beam pass through the medium and then for guiding the same to the sensor. The camera further comprises a mirror disposed between the lens system and the medium and having a first reflecting surface and a second reflecting surface. The mirror is movable between a first position at which the image obtained by the lens system is directed to the finder by the first reflecting surface of the mirror and a second position at which the formation of the image on the medium by the lens system is allowed without being hindered by the mirror. The second reflecting surface of the mirror forms a part of the guide system during the positioning of the mirror at the first position thereof.

摘要: A mode changing device for a camera employing a minimum number of actuating members to permit a user to change an operating mode and/or setting of the camera. A mode actuating member and a selector switch, used in conjunction with an LCD panel that indicates the mode and setting that has been selected by the user, permits the user to easily select and/or adjust the features of the camera, such as a photographing mode, a playback mode, an exposure mode, a white balance mode, a copy/monitor mode and a time/date mode. When the mode changing device is applied to a still video camera having a playback function, a change-over switch automatically changes the operating mode of the camera from a record mode to a playback mode when a monitoring adapter is connected to the camera, further reducing the number of actuating members that are needed to control the camera. In addition, the camera is designed to minimize the waste of electrical power by inhibiting the operation playback mode until the camera is instructed to begin operating.
