    Abstract: A first device receives information indicating changed network conditions for a network supporting a call with a second device at a first audio bit rate, and provides, to the second device, a packet instructing use of a second audio bit rate. The first device starts a timer associated with receiving an indication that the second device is using the second audio bit rate, and receives, from the second device, a response packet at the first audio bit rate. The first device determines that the timer has expired, and provides, to the second device, additional packets instructing use of the second audio bit rate. The first device determines that a threshold quantity of additional packets have been provided to the second device, and re-negotiates the second audio bit rate with the second device. The first device continues the call with the second device at the second audio bit rate.

    Abstract: A user equipment may generate one or more temperature thresholds based on thermal mitigation guidelines. The one or more temperature thresholds may define a first temperature zone and a second temperature zone. The user equipment may detect a temperature of the user equipment. The user equipment may identify whether the temperature occurs in the first temperature zone or the second temperature zone. The user equipment may send information to a network device to cause one or more network actions to be performed. The one or more network actions may be configured to maintain or reduce the temperature within the first temperature zone or to reduce the temperature to cause the temperature to switch from the second temperature zone to the first temperature zone.

    Abstract: A user device parses system information block data, received from a first cell, to identify an upper layer indicator element, and determines, based on the upper layer indicator element, that the user device is in an EN-DC area. The user device causes, based on determining that the user device is in the EN-DC area, first display of a first indicator on a display of the user device, and sends a request to the first cell for a data connection. The user device receives, from the first cell, a message that indicates a second cell will initiate the data connection via a 5G NR millimeter wave connection. The user device causes, based on the message, display of a second indicator on the display of the user device for a threshold amount of time, and then causes second display of the first indicator on the display of the user device.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for Next Generation to Long Term Evolution (LTE) fallback are provided. An exemplary method includes detecting a request to set up a voice call originating from or terminating at a user equipment that is connected or configured to connect to a Next Generation mobile network; transitioning, in response to the request to set up the voice call, the user equipment from having a Next Generation mobile network connection with the Next Generation mobile network to having an LTE network connection with an LTE network, the detecting and the transitioning performed without call setup being performed for the voice call via the Next Generation mobile network; and performing call setup for the voice call via the LTE network connection with the LTE network.

    Abstract: A method may include establishing a Fifth Generation (5G) a network connection with a user equipment (UE) device and receiving, by a 5G wireless station, information associated with handling voice communication sessions for the UE device. The method may also include receiving information, from the UE device or directed to the UE device, associated with a first voice communication session, signaling a Fourth Generation (4G) wireless station to establish a connection to the UE device, in response to receiving the information associated with the first voice communication session and establishing, by the 4G wireless station, a connection to the UE device. The method may further include conducting the first voice communication session over a 4G network, determining whether the first voice communication session has terminated and determining whether to reconnect to the 5G network, in response to determining that the first voice communication session has terminated.
