The circuits generally include an error detector circuit configured to compare the spread spectrum signal and a recovered clock signal, and to produce a first error signal corresponding to the periodic modulation profile and a second error signal corresponding to phase differences other than the spread spectrum modulation, a record and playback unit configured to record a value to a frequency memory, said value based on the first error signal and produce a third error signal corresponding to a predicted periodic modulation based at least in part on the recorded value, and a signal generator configured to produce the recovered clock signal in response to the second and third error signals.

    摘要: Systems and techniques relating to image cancellation in received communications signals are described. In one aspect, a received communications signal can include a desired signal and an image signal. A leakage tracing signal can be generated, and the image signal can be removed from the communications signal using the leakage tracing signal mixed with the communications signal. Implementations can include generating a first channel signal and a second channel signal, generating a first filter using the first channel signal and the leakage tracing signal, and generating a second filter using the second channel signal and the leakage tracing signal. Removing the image signal from the communications signal can include filtering the first channel signal using the second filter to obtain a first filtered signal, filtering the second channel signal using the first filter to obtain a second filtered signal, and subtracting the second filtered signal from the first filtered signal.

The at least one circuit block has an operating mode controllable in response to an enable signal or a clock signal. The integrated circuit receives a load current to power the circuit block as a function of the operating mode of the circuit block. The load current is a portion of the output current. A receiver receives a weighted signal. The weighted signal is a function of the enable signal and the clock signal to indicate an expected load current of the integrated circuit. A controller controls the output current of the power supply as a function of the expected load current of the integrated circuit such that the power supply pre-emptively changes the output current.

    摘要: Circuitry for providing non-uniform analog-to-digital (“A/D”) signal conversion for wideband signals is provided. The circuitry of the invention is optimized for wideband signals because it does not sacrifice the small-scale resolution of high-probability signal amplitudes while preventing the clipping of low-probability signal amplitudes. The circuitry includes a nonlinear amplifier and an A/D converter that may be uniform or non-uniform. The digital output of the A/D converter may be further processed by circuitry that has an output function that is the inverse of that of the nonlinear amplifier, so as to maintain linear A/D conversion.

A second reconstructed signal that is based on a longer memory path than the first reconstructed signal is evaluated against the first reconstructed signal. The decision-driven control loop is ultimately controlled based on the results of the evaluation between the first and second reconstructed signals. The inventive decision-driven control loop, which may be implemented in software, may form part of a read channel in a storage device.
