    摘要: The present invention relates to a plasma display device and to a method of producing a phosphor to be used for the device, that prevents the phosphor layer from deteriorating, and improves the luminance, life, and reliability, of a PDP. The plasma display device is equipped with a plasma display panel in which a plurality of discharge cells are arranged, phosphor layers (110R, 110G, 110B) in color corresponding to each discharge cell are disposed, and phosphor layers (110R, 110G, 110B) are excited by ultraviolet light to emit light. Green phosphor layer (110G) has a green phosphor including Zn2SiO4:Mn, the element ratio of zinc (Zn) to silicon (Si) at the proximity of its surface is 2/1, which is the stoichiometric ratio, and the layer is positively charged or zero-charged.

    摘要: Disclosed is a plasma display device that provides high luminance and minimal degradation in luminance under panel operations. A blue phosphor in a phosphor layer has a crystal structure of MeMgSi2O6:Eu or Me3MgSi2O8:Eu (where, Me contains at least one of Ca, Sr, and Ba) produced with a precursor that is obtained by any one of methods: an aqueous solution synthesis method, a spray synthesis method, a hydrothermal synthesis method, and a hydrolysis method. The phosphor has an average particle diameter ranging from 0.1 to 3.0 μm.

    摘要: A plasma display device having improved efficiency and increased image quality. This device includes a pair of front and back substrates opposed to each other to form between the substrates a discharge space partitioned by barrier ribs, a plurality of display electrodes each disposed on the front substrate to form a discharge cell between the barrier ribs, a dielectric layer formed above the front substrate to cover the display electrodes, and a phosphor layer which emits light by discharge between the display electrodes. The dielectric layer is constructed of at least two layers of different dielectric constants and is formed with, at its surface closer to the discharge space, a recessed part in each discharge cell. This limits a discharge region, thus realizing highly efficient discharge. The structure having the two layers of different dielectric constants can suppress crosstalk even if this structure has reduced thickness.
