摘要: Provided is a hair dye composition comprising as a direct dye a compound represented by the following formula (1), (2), (3) or (4): [wherein, R1 and R1′ each independently represents a (substituted) C1-6 alkyl or a (substituted) aryl group; W and W′ each independently represents a group —A—NR2R3 or a (substituted) heterocyclic aromatic group; A and A′ each independently represents a divalent (substituted) aryl group; R2, R2′ and R3 each independently represents H, a (substituted) alkyl or a (substituted) aryl group, or R2, R2′ or R3 may be bonded to A or A′, thereby forming a heterocycle, R2 and R3, or R2 and R2′ are coupled to form a heterocycle, together with the adjacent atom; R4 to R6 each independently represents H, (substituted) alkyl or (substituted) alkenyl group; Q represents a divalent organic group; X represents a modified carboxy group, an —SO2—T— group (in which, T represents an alkyl, alkenyl or aryl) or a heterocyclic group; Y represents a CN— or heterocyclic group; Z represents a cationic group, and An− represents an anion). The hair dye composition according to the present invention has markedly high hair dyeing power, has less color fade over time and undergoes a small color tone change in the dye even after storage.

摘要: A liquid crystal display for a laser marker for attaining a higher marking speed, characterized in that a liquid crystal display screen (10) is divided into a first zone (10a) where a sub-scanning is first performed and a second zone (10b) where a sub-scanning is performed following the first zone (10a) sub-scanning, that switching of display is performed independently for each of the first and second zones (10a, 10b), and predetermined voltages are applied, respectively, to row and column electrodes after those row and column electrodes are grounded, whereby display switching processing can be performed independently for each of the first and second zones. Completion of the sub-scanning of the first zone (10a) is detected by a position detecting means, and when such a detection is done, switching of display in the first zone (10a) is independently performed. In addition, when the position detecting means detects the completion of sub-scanning of the second zone (10b), switching of display in the second zone (10b) is performed independently.

摘要: The present invention provides a process for producing a 2-substituted benzo[b]thiophene, which is characterized by reacting a substituted or unsubstituted 2-halogenobenzaldehyde with sulfur and a compound represented by general formula (1)H.sub.i S.sub.j M.sub.k (1)(wherein M represents an alkali metal; i represents an integer of 0 or 1; j represents an integer of 1 or more; and k represents an integer of 1-2 with a proviso that i+k=2), or with a compound of general formula (1) wherein j is 2 or more, in the presence of an aprotic polar solvent, and then reacting the reaction mixture with a compound represented by general formula (2)XCH.sub.2 R (2)(wherein X represents a halogen atom; and R represents an acyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxycarbonyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted arylcarbonyl group or a cyano group) to give rise to intramolecular ring closure.The present process uses no unstable raw materials; enables production of an intended product in a simple operation at a high yield; and is very effective as a process for industrial production of 2-substituted benzo[b]thiophene.

摘要: Disclosed is an electrophotographic member containing as a charge transport material a fluorine-containing N,N,N',N'-tetraarylbenzidine derivative which is remarkably excellent in solubility in an organic solvent and/or a binder such as polycarbonate resin, etc., can show very excellent electrophotographic properties such as high sensitivity, low residual potential and high durability. Further, a fluorine-containing N,N,N',N'-tetraarylbenzidine derivative usable as a charge transport material, and a process for producing the same are disclosed. Furthermore, a fluorine-containing diarylamine usable for producing the fluorine-containing N,N,N',N'-tetraarylbenzidine derivative, and a process for producing the same are disclosed.

摘要: The object of the present invention is to provide an exhaust gas purifying catalyst that can achieve high purification performance while suppressing H2S emissions. The object is solved by an exhaust gas purifying catalyst in which the lower layer of the catalyst coating layer comprises a ceria-zirconia composite oxide having a pyrochlore-type ordered array structure, in which the ceria-zirconia composite oxide contains at least one additional element selected from the group consisting of praseodymium, lanthanum, and yttrium at 0.5 to 5.0 mol % in relation to the total cation amount, and the molar ratio of (cerium+additional element):(zirconium) is within the range from 43:57 to 48:52.

摘要: An exhaust gas purification catalyst includes a composite oxide support, and a precious metal catalyst supported on the composite oxide support. The composite oxide support includes alumina, zirconia, ceria, a first additive element oxide and a second additive element oxide. The first additive element oxide contains an additive element selected from the group consisting of rare earth elements excluding cerium and alkali earth elements. The second additive element oxide contains an additive element selected from the group consisting of rare earth elements excluding cerium and alkali earth elements. In the composite oxide support, alumina is contained in a range of 30 to 40% by mass and zirconia is contained in a range of 36 to 46% by mass.
