摘要: The objective of the present invention is to allow a hydrogen gas which has a gas mixture concentration of over 4% to be breathed in safely, and to reduce the amount of use of hydrogen gas, which is dangerous, and increase utilization efficiency of the hydrogen gas. The objective of the present invention is also to impart an auxiliary role to a device in the treatment of patients suffering from viral or bacterial pneumonia using hydrogen gas. A hydrogen gas mixture breathing device and a related system employ an intrinsically safe structure and a safety system which prevent occurrence of explosions. A detonation flame arrester, etc. are installed where necessary to provide against electrostatic explosions, etc., and to protect a user's lung function from explosion flames. In addition, a device for supplying aerosol in which a hydroxyl radical is dissolved is also installed, and operating time and volume are appropriately adjusted under the supervision of a professional. Depending on the circumstances, the content of the aerosol is changed to microdroplets that comprise a bivalent iron ion or monovalent copper ion. Suction of a hydrogen-rich gas mixture and suction of the aerosol take place alternatively according to a program and not simultaneously.

摘要: A sheet-testing apparatus including kneading rolls, a frame feeder, sheet applicator, foreign material detector, a frame with a light transparent window and a cutter for cutting a sheet. A sheet thickness detection apparatus outputs an electric signal to a memory. A kneading apparatus has a pair of heating rolls separated by a gap. The directions and speeds of rotations of the rolls are adjustable. A sensor detects the gap and a bank sensor detects the condition of a bank in the gap. The distance between the rolls, their temperatures, rotations, and speeds are automatically controlled. A pair of blades peel a sheet from the sheet-winding roll. Material dropped through the gap between the heating rolls is returned to a point above the gap. A cutting device has a length of wire sprung onto a rolled sheet to sever the sheet. A heating roll cleaning device brings cleaning rolls into sliding engagement with the heating rolls. A heating roll cleaning device has means for feeding an elongated cloth-like cleaning member for cleaning heating rolls.

摘要: An implosion-protected cathode-ray tube has a bulb and a metallic band tightly binding the front outer peripheral portion of the bulb to suppress the occurrence of accidental implosion of the bulb during the manufacturing processes including a heating and evacuation process and a rapid cooling process after the heating and evacuation process as well as after the manufacture of the cathode-ray tube. The material forming the metallic band and the size of the metallic band meet the following conditions: i) the thermal expansion coefficient .alpha..sub.s of the material is not less than the thermal expansion coefficient .alpha..sub.g of the glass forming the bulb; ii) a value expressed by: L(1+.alpha..sub.s..delta.t), where L is the inner perimeter of the metallic band at the ambient temperature when the tightened metal band is removed from the bulb and where .alpha.t is the temperature differential between the ambient temperature and a temperature for a heating and evacuation process, is smaller than the perimeter of the front outer peripheral portion of the bulb on which the metallic band is shrunk, during the heating and evacuation process, and iii) a stress corresponding to the yield point of the material of the metallic band remains in the metallic band at the ambient temperature.

摘要: The present invention relates to an electrophotographic sensitive member comprising a photoconductive amorphous silicon carbide layer. An amorphous silicon layer has superior abrasion resistance, heat resistance, antipollution property, photosensitive characteristic and the like. However, an amorphous silicon layer itself has a low dark resistance, so that dopants, such as boron, are added thereto but a dark resistance of 10.sup.12 .OMEGA..multidot.cm or more required for the case where it is used as an electrophotographic sensitive member has never been obtained. The present inventors have found before that an amorphous silicon carbide layer has a large carrier-mobility and photoconductivity and its dark resistance of 10.sup.13 .OMEGA..multidot.cm or more can be easily obtained regardless of the existence of dopants and furthermore an electrophotographic sensitive member, which can be positively and negatively charged by the selection of the dopants, can be obtained. The present invention provides an electrophotographic sensitive member capable of improving the photosensitive characteristics and the like to improve electrophotographic characteristics, as desired, with an a-SiC layer as a substantial photoconductive layer and substantially without requiring a surface protective layer and a barrier layer.
