摘要: A packaged aqueous carbonated beverage comprising a container which replaces at least a portion of CO2 that permeates through the container or closure. The container comprises a polyester composition including a polyester suitable for packaging aqueous carbonated beverages and a carbonating agent. The aqueous carbonated beverage is disposed in the container such that the aqueous carbonated beverage has direct contact with the container and a closure seals the beverage in the container. The carbonating agent reacts with water in the carbonated beverage forming CO2 for replacing at least a portion of CO2 that permeates through the container or closure. A corresponding method of packaging an aqueous carbonated beverage is disclosed.

摘要: A container is provided for substances that contain an antibacterial compound. The container is comprised of a tube body and a tube shoulder that includes a tube nozzle. The tube body may have a laminate structure. The tube shoulder may be comprised of an alkene based polymer such as a polyethylene or a polypropylene. Such alkene based polymers have a high absorptivity for antibacterial compounds such as triclosan. It has been found that the absorptivity for triclosan can be reduced through the use of at least one of polytrimethylene naphthalate, polyethylene naphthalate and acrolonitrile/methacrylate as the surface contacting the composition containing the antibacterial. This surface can be a film on the tube shoulder/nozzle, the full structure of the tube nozzle, an insert in the tube nozzle or a co-injection molded surface on a shoulder/nozzle. The absorption is less than 1.0 mg/dm2.

摘要: Described is a bimodal data input technology by which handwriting recognition results are combined with speech recognition results to improve overall recognition accuracy. Handwriting data and speech data corresponding to mathematical symbols are received and processed (including being recognized) into respective graphs. A fusion mechanism uses the speech graph to enhance the handwriting graph, e.g., to better distinguish between similar handwritten symbols that are often misrecognized. The graphs include nodes representing symbols, and arcs between the nodes representing probability scores. When arcs in the first and second graphs are determined to match one another, such as aligned in time and associated with corresponding symbols, the probability score in the second graph for that arc is used to adjust the matching probability score in the first graph. Normalization and smoothing may be performed to correspond the graphs to one another and to control the influence of one graph on the other.

摘要: A low complexity apparatus (100) and method (200) for variable color saturation, performed in combination with RGB to YUV color space conversion, is used to direct input signal noise away from a luminance channel, to which the human eye is highly sensitive, and into chrominance channels. The apparatus (100) is adapted to perform color conversion and variable color saturation of input primary color signals red, green and blue to produce variable chrominance signals and luminance invariance. The apparatus includes a luminance composition module (105) dependent on non-varying luminance composition coefficients. A first chrominance composition module (110) is dependent on the non-varying luminance composition coefficients and includes a first variable saturation coefficient that is multiplied by the difference between low pass filtered red and green primary color signals. A second chrominance composition module (115) is also dependent on the non-varying luminance composition coefficients and includes a second variable saturation coefficient that is multiplied by the difference between low pass filtered blue and green primary color signals.
