    摘要: The first output buffer 22 of the driving LSI 20 outputs the first video signal voltage V and the second output buffer outputs the second video signal voltage *V with the opposite polarity from that of the first video signal voltage. The first and the second video signal voltages V, *V are fed to the drain driver 2 of the display panel 1 through a pair of signal wirings. The drain driver 2 supplies the first video signal voltage V to a pixel and the second video signal voltage with the opposite polarity to the pixel adjacent to the fist pixel through the drain line 5 and the TFT9. In this way, any pair of the adjacent pixels in horizontal and vertical direction receives the video signal voltages with opposite polarities from each other.

    摘要: When the orientation of liquid crystal molecules in a pixel are divided by an orientation divider, a boundary of the orientation is produced at any part of the pixel. A drain signal line (54) is formed to overlap with the boundary so that a light-shielding region in the pixel is decreased and an aperture ratio can be improved. Leakage of light caused when the orientation is disturbed can be shielded by the drain signal line (54), and contrast can be enhanced. The orientation divider can be an orientation control window (36), an orientation control slope (90) or the like.

    摘要: Two series of color video signal lines (1R, 1G, and 1B) (2R, 2G, and 2B) for receiving in a panel two series of input color video signals from outside the panel, a plurality of switching elements (11, 12, 13 . . . ) for connecting each of the two series of color video signal lines to each data line, and a drive pulse generating circuit which sequentially generates drive pulses (PC1, PC2, PC3 . . . ) for controlling open and close of the plurality of switching elements are provided. Odd-numbered drive pulses are applied to switching elements corresponding to a first series of color video signals, and even-numbered drive pulses are applied to switching elements corresponding to a second series of color video signals. For example, when used as a panel for displaying analog video signals, it is sufficient to supply output from a single series of sample hold circuit provided outside the panel to two series of color video signal lines and, when used as a panel for graphics display, it is sufficient to supply output from a sample hold circuit for two series of color video signals to two series of color video signal lines. Therefore, it is possible to provide an active matrix panel for displaying both analog video and CG characters.

When the window glass is unbroken, at least part of the breakage detection tool is located in a through hole arranged in the window glass and urges a wall of the through hole in a direction expanding the through hole with an elastic force of the detection tool. When the window glass breaks, the breakage detection tool shatters the window glass at a portion surrounding the through hole and the detector is at least partially displaced.
