Abstract: A radio frequency amplifier comprises a transistor, a transformer and a variable capacitor. The transistor has an input terminal, an output terminal and a control terminal. The transformer has a first coil conductor and a second coil conductor. The first coil conductor magnetically couples to the second coil conductor. The second coil conductor connects to the control terminal. The first coil conductor connects to the input terminal. The variable capacitor connects in parallel with the second coil conductor. An integrated circuit using the radio frequency amplifier is also introduced.

Abstract: A baffle structure for heat dissipation, mounted on an electric vehicle on top of which a battery pack is mounted, includes a base, a plurality of baffle fins and a mask. The base is connected to the battery pack. The baffle fins are disposed on the base. The baffle fins each have a first end and a second end. The mask covers the baffle fins. The mask includes at least an air inlet and at least an air outlet which correspond in position to the first and second ends, respectively. The baffle structure guides hot air out, takes up no space inside the electric vehicle, dispenses with a need to be connected to any external cooling system, and saves electrical power supplied by the battery pack.

Abstract: A method of speeding up image detection, adapted to increase a speed of detecting a target image and enhance efficiency of image detection, comprises the steps of capturing an image; retrieving a plurality of characteristic points of the image; creating a region of interest (ROI) centered at the characteristic points each; creating a plurality of search point scan windows corresponding to the ROIs, respectively; calculating target hit scores of the characteristic points and the search point scan windows; comparing the target hit scores of the characteristic points and the search point scan windows to obtain an ROI most likely to have a target image; calculating centroid coordinates of the ROI by a centroid shift weight equation; and narrowing a scope of ROI search according to a location of the centroid coordinates and reducing a displacement between the search points.

Abstract: A single-phase bridgeless insulated power factor adjustment circuit includes an EMI filter module, low-frequency switching diode module, two switches and two insulated voltage transformation modules. The EMI filter module is coupled to an AC power. The low-frequency switching diode module is coupled to the EMI filter module. The two switches are coupled to the low-frequency switching diode module. The two insulated voltage transformation modules are coupled to one of the two switches. With the low-frequency switching diode module being in first ON state, one of the two switches turns on, and one of the two insulated voltage transformation modules turns on. With the low-frequency switching diode module being in second ON state, the other switch turns on, and the other insulated voltage transformation module turns on. Hence, the circuit is unlikely to fail, but features simple circuitry, incurs low costs, be compact, and achieves high conversion efficiency.

Abstract: An adaptive digital pre-distortion system includes a transmitting module and a receiving module. The transmitting module is configured to receive a first signal and includes a modulator, pre-distortion module, and transmitting circuit. The pre-distortion module is coupled to the modulator to perform a pre-distortion operation in accordance with the first modulation signal and generate a first pre-distortion signal. The transmitting circuit generates a first transmitted signal in accordance with the first pre-distortion signal. The receiving module is configured to receive the first transmitted signal and includes a receiving circuit, demodulator, and prediction module. The prediction module generates a pre-distortion parameter in accordance with a modulation vector error between the second demodulation signal and the first signal and transmits the pre-distortion parameter to the pre-distortion module, wherein the pre-distortion module adjusts the pre-distortion operation of the pre-distortion module in accordance with the pre-distortion parameter.

Abstract: Disclosed is an aluminum nitride electrostatic chuck, comprising: a positioning electrostatic chuck and a carrier structure. The positioning electrostatic chuck includes a groove structure layer, a dielectric insulation layer, and a heat conduction layer. In the groove structure layer on the surface of the electrostatic chuck is provided with cooling gas channels, to facilitate control of the temperature distribution of a wafer. The electrostatic chuck is especially designed for use in a semiconductor manufacturing process of high temperature and high plasma power density. The dielectric insulation layer is provided with embedded electrodes, such that voltage conversion can be carried out to effect wafer absorption/release. The cooling gas channels are used to control temperature of the absorbed wafer, by means of heat conduction of aluminum nitride electrostatic chuck. Therefore, wafer temperature distribution is controlled through aspect ratio and geometry of cooling gas channel.

Abstract: Epoxy/MMT composite material and a crosslinking method for epoxy/MMT composite material with second order nonlinear optical properties are introduced. Chromophore-containing intercalating agents are applied to modify montmorillonites (MMTs) to form organoclays by an ion-exchange process, wherein the chrmophores are neatly packed on exfoliated epoxy/organoclay nanocomposites. As a result, optical nonlinearity, i.e. the Pockels effect is observed for the nanocomposites without resorting to the poling process due to self-assembly process. Furthermore, a series of epoxy/MMT nanocomposites comprising thermally reversible furan-norbornene Diels-Alder adducts are prepared to establish a crosslinking feature. Self-alignment behavior, electro-optical (EO) coefficient and temporal stability of the epoxy/MMT nanocomposites are improved by the Diels-Alders crosslinking.
