Abstract:
A method and apparatus for generating a translation knowledge server, which can generate a translation knowledge server based on translation knowledge collected in real time is provided. The apparatus for generating translation knowledge server may include: data collector which collects initial translation knowledge data; data analyzer which performs morphological analysis and syntactic analysis on the initial translation knowledge data received from the data collector and outputs analyzed data; and translation knowledge learning unit which learns real-time translation knowledge by determining target word for each domain from the analyzed data based on predetermined domain information or by determining a domain by automatic clustering. According to the present invention, it is possible to obtain translation knowledge by analyzing documents present in a web or provided by a user in real time and to improve the quality of translation by applying the obtained translation knowledge to a translation engine.

Abstract:
Provided is a modulating apparatus and method of an on-channel repeater. An object of the present invention is to provide a modulating apparatus of an on-channel repeater for reducing time delay by configuring and up-sampling a baseband signal, filtering the up-sampled baseband signal with an Equi-Ripple (ER) filter or in a window method, and converting the filtered baseband signal into an RF signal. The modulating apparatus includes: a baseband signal configuring unit for configuring a baseband. signal by combining an input field and a segment sync signal; a pilot adding unit for adding a pilot signal to the baseband signal; a filtering unit for filtering the baseband signal with the pilot signal; and an RF up-converting unit for up-converting the filtered signal into an RF signal. The present invention is used to form an on-channel repeating network in a transmitting system including a digital TV broadcasting system.
Abstract:
A portable device for measuring a consumed calories includes: a respiration measurement device measuring an amount of air inhaled into a user's nose to acquire and output a respiration signal; a plurality of movement detection devices acquiring and outputting acceleration signals reflecting (or indicating) the magnitude and direction of a movement of each part of the user's body; and a controller recognizing the amount of a user's movements and movement patterns by analyzing the acceleration signal, recognizing an intensity of an exercise by analyzing the respiration signal, and calculating a consumed calories in consideration of the amount of the user's movements, the movement patterns, and the intensity of exercise. A user's consumed calories can be precisely calculated by recognizing the user's movement and even the user's respiration rate.

Abstract:
An idling control apparatus for a vehicle includes an engine control unit for determining an idling state of the vehicle, in which the vehicle is stopped while an engine is in a turned-on state, to control the engine of the vehicle based on information of a traffic signal. The engine control unit maintains the turned-on state of the engine or turns off the engine depending on a residual time of the traffic signal when it is determined that the vehicle is in the idling state. Further, the engine control unit turns off the engine of the vehicle when a stop time of the vehicle is longer than a predetermined idling time limit, wherein the stop time is calculated by subtracting from a point in current time by a point in time at which it is determined that the vehicle is in the idling state.
Abstract:
An organic thin film transistor (OTFT), a method of manufacturing the same, and a biosensor using the OTFT are provided. The OTFT includes a gate electrode, a gate insulating layer, source and drain electrodes, and an organic semiconductor layer disposed on a substrate and further includes an interface layer formed between the gate insulating layer and the organic semiconductor layer by a sol-gel process. The gate insulating layer is formed of an organic polymer, and the interface layer is formed of an inorganic material. The OTFT employs the interface layer interposed between the gate insulating layer and the organic semiconductor layer so that the gate insulating layer can be protected from the exterior and adhesion of the gate insulating layer with the organic semiconductor layer can be improved, thereby increasing driving stability. Also, since the OTFT can use a plastic substrate, the manufacture of the OTFT is inexpensive so that the OTFT can be used as a disposable biosensor.
