    Abstract: A vehicle wheel, especially for a truck. The wheel has a rigid rim on which can be mounted a pneumatic tire of rubber or rubber-like material. The carcass of the tire is anchored in the tire beads by being looped around pull-resistant bead cores. The tire beads are disposed on the radially inner periphery of the rim ring. In order to make it particularly easy to mount the tire, the rim seating surfaces for each tire bead extend essentially horizontally in the transverse direction, and extend to the edge of the rim ring. A clamping ring is disposed radially inwardly of the tire bead, with that side of the clamping ring which rests against the bead extending at an angle to the axis of rotation of the wheel. The bead core has a cross-sectional shape which includes sides which extend essentially parallel to the clamping ring and parallel to the rim seating surface.

    Abstract: A vehicle wheel and pneumatic tire assembly, including a tire which essentially comprises rubber or rubber-like synthetic material, and a rigid rim which on the radially inner periphery of the rim ring has seating surfaces for the tire, from where the tire walls initially extend essentially horizontally toward the outside. On the radially inner periphery, the rim ring is provided with support surfaces for supporting the tire during an emergency operation. In order to be able to transmit increased forces during an emergency operation, the inner wall of the tire, in the region of the tread, and the radially outer portions of the rim, are provided with raised portions and recessed portions which predominantly extend in the transverse direction, and which are adapted to engage in one another during an emergency operation of the tire.

The connection stabilizing mechanism includes multiple fastening members connecting a solid tire with a bicycle rim. Each of the fastening members has a plate-shaped base section engaged with the bicycle rim and an extension section inserted into the solid tire. A free end of the extension section is inserted into the solid tire. A ratio of an extension length of the extension sect ion to a tire height of the solid tire is between 1:1.5 and 1:2.6, thereby maintaining a relative position of the center of a main body of the solid tire relative to the rim. Thus, the solid tire is prevented from being detached from the rim due to excessive lateral movement of the central position of the main body of the solid tire.
