Abstract:
The invention relates to a disk brake, particularly for commercial vehicles, comprising a brake caliper (1) covering a brake disk (3), a tensing device (13) arranged in a brake caliper for tensing the brake pads (5, 7) on both sides of the brake disk (3) in the direction thereof, and at least one regulating system arranged in the brake caliper in order to equalise the brake pad and/or disk deterioration by adjusting the distance between the brake pad (7) and the brake disk (3). The invention is characterised in that at least one or more adjusting rotational devices which are driven by an electric motor are provided on each side of the brake disk (3) to adjust the axial distances between the brake pads (5, 7) and the brake disk (3). According to a method for controlling the regulating system of the brake disk, the regulating rotational device is individually controlled on both sides of the brake disk.
Abstract:
A method for variably setting the braking force in a hydraulic brake system of a motor vehicle with a brake pressure is produced which is applied to a wheel-braking device. In order to compensate a diminishing braking effect in hydraulic brake systems in wide ranges, the real actual friction factor between the brake disc and brake pad of at least one wheel brake is determined and compared with a prescribable desired friction factor, in the event of an impermissible undershooting of the actual friction factor by comparison with the desired friction factor, the brake pressure or a variable correlated with the brake pressure being increased to a value multiplied by a correction factor if the actual friction factor is within a defined friction factor stabilization range which comprises a plurality of friction factors below the desired friction factor.
Abstract:
A method ensures that, even under wet conditions, the unrestricted intended braking effect is always achieved on wheels of a vehicle brake system. At the same time, the service life of the brake system is not to be influenced appreciably. When a sensor device detects that wet conditions influencing the braking effect are present and it has been detected that the braking effect of a brake could be impaired, a temporary braking operation is carried out on at least that particular brake, in such a way that the deceleration of the vehicle cannot be perceived by the driver.
