摘要: A separator for an electrochemical device, including a porous substrate and a porous coating layer on at least one side of the porous substrate. The porous coating layer includes a binder resin, inorganic particles, and an ionic dispersant. The inorganic particles include plate-shaped particles a having a Mohs hardness of 3 or less and a density of 3 g/cm3 or less, in which the plate-shaped particles a contain kaolin. The separator can be implemented to be thinner and lighter than conventional counterparts, has improved heat shrinkage characteristics, and is not easily damaged under pressure.

摘要: Several embodiments of a microporous battery separator for lithium rechargeable batteries and/or related methods of making and/or using such separators are disclosed. A dry process battery separator or membrane separator exhibits a thickness that is less than about 14 μm and has increased strength performance as defined by reduced splittiness. The mode of splitting failure has been investigated, and the improvement in splittiness quantified by a test method known as the Composite Splittiness Index (CSI).

摘要: Provided is a separator for a power storage device that combines high permeability and battery safety at high temperature. The separator for a power storage device has an inorganic content layer that contains inorganic particles and polyolefin resin. In a cross section of the inorganic content layer, a ratio b of the area occupied by the inorganic particles is 9-35% [inclusive], the ratio of the area occupied by vacancies is 20-60% [inclusive], and a TD direction heat shrinkage a at 150° C. of the separator for a power storage device is 4% or less.

摘要: Provided is a separator for a non-aqueous secondary battery, containing a porous substrate; a heat resistant porous layer that is provided on one side or on both sides of the porous substrate, and that contains a porous coating film including at least one selected from the group consisting of a wholly aromatic polyamide, a polyamide imide and a polyimide; and an adhesive layer that is provided on one side or on both sides of a layered body containing the porous substrate and the heat resistant porous layer, in which adhesive resin particles adhere to the layered body, and provided is a separator for a non-aqueous secondary battery, containing a porous substrate; a heat resistant porous layer that is provided on one side or on both sides of the porous substrate, and that contains at least one of inorganic particles or a heat resistant resin, the heat resistant resin having at least one of an amide bond or an imide bond in a molecule; and an adhesive layer that is provided on one side or on both sides of a layered body containing the porous substrate and the heat resistant porous layer, wherein adhesive resin particles adhere to the layered body, in which a peel strength between the porous substrate and the heat resistant porous layer is from 5 N/m to 75 N/m.

The separator also has improved physical properties through the above method. Particularly, the present invention is applied to a separator that has already manufactured. After forming a double bond in the separator that has already manufactured, crosslinking may be formed through the double bond or by adding a separate crosslinking initiator.
