摘要: The present invention provides a method of producing a set of mechanically connected cells (200), especially for use in a vehicle traction battery (704). The method comprises producing a plurality of rows of mechanically connected cells in a first jig, and subsequently connecting the cells together in a second jig. Advantageously, the method may substantially reduce the problem of tolerance stack associated with mechanically connected cells.

摘要: An energy apparatus comprising at least one functional unit including a first cell comprising a first cell electrode and at least one first cell opening for a first cell aqueous liquid and for a first cell gas. The first cell electrode comprises an iron-based electrode; a second cell comprising a second cell electrode and at least one second cell opening for a second cell aqueous liquid and for a second cell gas. The second cell electrode comprises at least one metal comprising 60-99.9 at. % nickel, and 0.1-35 at. % iron and a separator. The first cell and the second cell share the separator which is configured to block transport of at least one of O2 and H2 from one cell to another while having permeability for at least one of hydroxide ions (OH−) monovalent sodium (Na+), monovalent lithium (Li+) and monovalent potassium (K+).

摘要: A method for inspecting a power storage device for short circuit includes: adjusting a plurality of power storage devices to a first device voltage; restraining the power storage devices; measuring a pre-leaving device voltage, leaving the power storage devices, and measuring a post-leaving device voltage; obtaining a voltage drop rate; and determining whether or not a restrained device is short-circuited using a voltage drop rate. The method further includes: calculating a largest adjustment timing difference between an oldest adjustment completion time of an oldest adjusted device and a newest adjustment completion time of a newest adjusted device, after adjusting the voltage but before measuring the pre-leaving voltage; obtaining a shortest standby time from the largest adjustment timing difference; and deferring the measuring of the pre-leaving voltage until the shortest standby time elapses.

The contact interface includes a bracket, a conductive terminal contact plate and a biasing member provided between the bracket and the terminal contact plate. The bracket includes a base and a pair of legs extending from opposite ends thereof. Each leg has an engagement which is configured to be coupled to an engagement on each of the batteries. The terminal contact plate is configured to be in contact with terminals on the batteries. The biasing member biases the terminal contact plate into contact with the terminals.

摘要: A battery module according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes a battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells including electrode leads are stacked; and a sensing assembly for transmitting voltage information of the battery cell. The sensing assembly includes a connector, a connection member for connecting the connector and the electrode lead, and a joining member located at one end of the connection member and joined to the electrode lead. At least two of the electrode leads are bent and joined to form an electrode lead joint body, and the joining member is joined to the electrode lead joint body.

摘要: An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a battery module including: battery cells including negative and positive electrodes on the same side; a first conductive plate provided at end portions of the battery cells and adjacent to the negative and positive electrodes, the first conductive plate including first through-holes through which the negative and positive electrodes are respectively exposed and first stepped portions which are adjacent to the first through-holes and recessed toward the battery cells; an insulative plate arranged on the first conductive plate and including second through-holes which at least partially overlap the first through-holes; a second conductive plate on the insulative plate, the second conductive plate including third through-holes which at least partially overlap the second through-holes and second stepped portions which are adjacent to the third through-holes and recessed toward the insulative plate; first connection tabs electrically connecting the positive electrodes or the negative electrodes to the first stepped portions; and second connection tabs electrically connecting the others of the positive electrodes and the negative electrodes to the second stepped portions.

摘要: Presented are metalworking systems for forming metallic workpieces, methods for making/operating such metalworking systems, and battery module cell tabs bent by a multistage cluster-and-bend press. A metalworking system includes a grouping tool and a contouring tool that both align adjacent a workpiece support structure, such as a base plate of a battery module housing buttressing a stack of battery pouch cells. The grouping tool, which may include a first reciprocating plunger or plunger head, presses together a stack of metallic workpieces to thereby form a workpiece set having a first bend profile and a first length. The contouring tool, which may include a second reciprocating plunger or a pair of plunger fingers mounted on the plunger head, is attached to the grouping tool and bends the workpiece set to a second bend profile, distinct from the first bend profile, and a second set length, shorter than the first set length.

摘要: The embodiments describe a system and the corresponding assembly techniques of a battery submodule top cover. The battery submodule top cover has at least one electrical hybrid interconnect coupled to a substrate. The hybrid interconnect comprises at least a first portion made of a first metal type, and a second portion made of a second metal type. The first portion and the second portion of the hybrid interconnect are joined together such that an electrical connection may be made between two battery cell tabs where each battery cell tab is made of a different type of metal.
