摘要: A radio apparatus (10) according to the present invention used in a line-of-sight (LOS) MIMO communication system includes a plurality of antennas (15, 16) and a position adjustment unit (12). The position adjustment unit (12) is configured to be able to adjust a relative position between at least one of the plurality of antennas (15, 16) and an antenna included in another radio apparatus (other station). According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a radio apparatus capable of adjusting antennas to appropriate positions in the line-of-sight MIMO communication system.

摘要: Embodiments of enabling a secondary cell in a massive MIMO system are generally described herein. An example apparatus of UE may include memory and processing circuitry to configure a MIMO transceiver to establish primary cell transmit and receive channels for communication with an eNodeB, and to receive a secondary cell addition signal that includes a preamble index for a secondary cell. The processing circuitry further configures the MIMO transceiver to receive beam reference signals (BRS), and select one of the BRS from the eNodeB as a secondary cell transmit channel for the secondary cell based on detected BRS receive power. The processing circuitry further configures the MIMO transceiver to provide information for the selected BRS, and provide xPRACH transmissions that include a transmit index to the eNodeB. The processing circuitry further configures the MIMO transceiver to receive selection of one of the xPRACH transmissions as a secondary cell receive channel.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of assigning a transmission timing to a radio terminal in a radio network system including at least a radio network node and a radio terminal and employing a time division duplex method dividing a transmission time in an uplink transmission time interval and a downlink or uplink transmission time interval for transmission between the radio network node and the radio terminal, comprising the following steps: determining a speed of movement of the radio terminal with respect to the radio network node; assigning to the radio terminal, based on the speed of movement, a transmission timing in the downlink or uplink transmission time interval. The present invention relates further to a radio network node and a radio terminal adapted to assigning a transmission timing according to the above method.

The wireless communication device includes a digital beamforming module configured to generate digitally pre-coded spatial streams. A pre-coding matrix is applied to a plurality of spatial streams to generate the digitally pre-coded spatial streams. The communication device includes a plurality of analog beamforming modules configured to measure signal and channel quality metrics from received packets and to calculate gain and phase adjustment values. The analog beamforming modules adjust the gain and phase of the digitally pre-coded spatial streams for analog beamforming. The communication device includes a plurality of antenna arrays configured to transmit the spatial streams.

摘要: A method for transmitting a reference signal in a multi-antenna system is provided. The method includes: selecting at least one orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol in a subframe containing a plurality of OFDM symbols; allocating a channel quality indication reference signal (CQI RS) capable of measuring a channel state for each of a plurality of antennas to the selected at least one OFDM symbol; and transmitting the CQI RS, wherein the CQI RS is allocated to an OFDM symbol which does not overlap with an OFDM symbol to which a common reference signal to be transmitted to all user equipments in a cell or a dedicated reference signal to be transmitted to a specific user equipment in the cell is allocated.

Determining the type of downlink control channel configuration to transmit can comprise: determining to transmit multiple downlink control channels if a rank is higher than a defined value; and determining to transmit a single control channel in lieu of transmitting the multiple control channels if a rank is less than or equal to the defined value. The method can also include scheduling the layer for transmission to the mobile device.

摘要: A waveguide device includes: an electrically conductive member having an electrically conductive surface; a waveguide member having an electrically-conductive waveguide face of a stripe shape opposing the electrically conductive surface, the waveguide member extending along the electrically conductive surface; and an artificial magnetic conductor extending on both sides of the waveguide member. The waveguide member has a bend at which the direction that the waveguide member extends changes. A waveguide which is defined by the electrically conductive surface, the waveguide face, and the artificial magnetic conductor includes a gap enlargement where a gap between the electrically conductive surface and the waveguide face is locally increased. In a perspective view along a direction perpendicular to the electrically conductive surface, at least a portion of the bend has an overlap with the gap enlargement.

摘要: A technique for improving wireless communication characteristics involving matching transmitter antenna patterns to receiver antenna patterns. In a specific implementation, the transmitter antenna pattern adapts to changing parameters, such as when a smartphone is initially held in a first orientation and is later held in a second orientation. Because the transmitter antenna pattern matches receiver antenna patterns, signal quality between stations improves. In some implementations, antennas are organized and mounted to maximize spatial diversity to cause peak gains in different directions.

摘要: A transmission apparatus includes a plurality of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) modulation signal generators, which generate a first OFDM modulation signal and a second OFDM modulation signal. The transmission apparatus also includes a transmitter that transmits the first OFDM modulation signal from a first antenna and the second OFDM modulation signal from a second antenna, in an identical frequency band. A reception apparatus is provided, which includes a plurality of antennas that receive a plurality of OFDM modulation signals; a plurality of OFDM demodulators that transform the plurality of OFDM modulation signals to a plurality of reception signals using Fourier transform; an estimator that outputs a distortion estimation signal using one or more symbols for demodulation included in the plurality of reception signals; and a demodulator that compensates for distortion of the reception signals using the distortion estimation signal and demodulates a data symbol included in the reception signals.
