Abstract: A pop-up structure of a tail gate may include a tail gate disposed to open and close a passage of a vehicle body, a striker to be fixed to the vehicle body, a locking device mounted on the tail gate and locked to the striker to fix the tail gate to the vehicle body, and a pop-up device disposed at the tail gate and pushing against the striker by a predetermined distance to lift the tail gate by a corresponding predetermined height when the locking device is unlocked from the striker, in which the pop-up device may include a bracket mounted on the tail gate, a pop-up lever rotatably disposed about a pop-up lever pin on the bracket, a rotation lever rotatably disposed about a rotation lever pin, and a push home pushing the striker, and a pop-up lever spring elastically supporting the pop-up lever to rotate in one direction.

Abstract: A powered latch includes a forkbolt pivotable about a first axis between a latched position for retaining a striker and an unlatched position for releasing the striker. A detent lever is pivotable about a second axis and engageable with the forkbolt to secure the forkbolt in the latched position. The latch further includes a powered actuator and a power release lever rotatable about a third axis by the powered actuator to release the detent lever from the forkbolt. The power release lever is manually movable along the third axis from a first position to a second position. Movement of the power release lever from the first position to the second position is operable to release the detent lever.

Abstract: A trailer is disclosed. The trailer may be pulled behind a vehicle such as, but not limited to, a jeep, dune buggy, or ATV. Embodiments of the trailer may include a frame and an adjustable suspension. The adjustable suspension may be used to vary the height of the trailer in order to accommodate different types of terrain and loading. By changing the height, the clearance and/or approach angle of the trailer may be varied. Additional embodiments may include a tongue connected to the frame, which tongue may have an adjustable length and/or height. Where the trailer includes a cover and a tailgate, an optional locking system may be used. In one embodiment, the locking system includes a handle that may release both the tailgate and cover. In some embodiments, the handle may be partially pulled to release the cover while fully pulling the handle may release the tailgate.

Abstract: The present invention is a swing and fold down tailgate mechanism which includes an inner panel, a first handle supported by the inner panel operably associated with a first latch and a second latch, a second handle supported by the inner panel operably associated with the first handle and a third latch.
