    摘要: A food storage and nutrition management system including a primary container having which defines a volume for storing a plurality of secondary containers smaller than the primary container. The secondary containers store food items and include a bottom side and an upper rim and are sized and configured such that when placed in the primary container, the upper rims of the secondary containers are substantially co-planar. A container lid sealing closes the primary container and includes a resilient gasket on its underside. Lids are also provided for the secondary containers when used outside the primary container. The gasket is configured to engage the upper rims of the secondary containers regardless of the configuration in which the secondary containers are placed in the primary container. The gasket partially compresses at the upper rims of the secondary containers to form a substantially air tight seal between each of the secondary containers.

    摘要: A glass bell jar for the protection of food such as desserts, pies and the like, which is designed to be rested on a dish, also made of glass, so as to cover the food contained in the dish, includes a U-shaped structural section, made of a soft plastic material such as polypropylene or the like, fitted along the edge of the bell jar to cushion the impact between the dish and the bell jar when the latter is rested on the dish, to prevent direct contact between the two glass parts, and to guarantee better airtightness. The risk is avoided, that one or both parts from crack, with the danger that shards of glass could contaminate the food contained in it. Health risks are thus avoided, and the unpleasant sound caused by the impact between two glass parts is eliminated.

    摘要: A method is provided for forming in situ a seal for dispensing containers and the like of the type having a body with a reservoir, a dispenser with an applicator surface, and a cap detachably connected with the body, and selectively covering the dispenser applicator surface. The in situ method comprises providing a mandrel shaped geometrically similar to either the cap or the dispenser. The selected one of the cap and the dispenser is then assembled on the mandrel to form a closed cavity therebetween into which is injected a foamable liquid of the kind which expands when cured into a substantially closed cell construction. The liquid foam is cured in the cavity to the extent that the liquid foam expands to completely fill the cavity, and solidifies to create a seal formed in situ on the one of the cap and the dispenser. In use, the cured foam seal is disposed between the applicator surface of the dispenser and the cap, and prevents the product from inadvertently leaking from the reservoir.
