Abstract:
New monomer and polymer materials that comprise one or more Te atoms. In one aspect, tellurium-containing monomers and polymers are provided that are useful for Extreme Ultraviolet Lithography.
Abstract:
Paints and coatings that change the coated surface from hydrophobic to a hydrophilic, self-cleaning surface when exposed to atmosphere are described. The compositions include a plurality of boronic acid functionalized polymers, and a blocking agent contacting at least one of the plurality of boronic acid, wherein the blocking agent is configured to be removed by a stimulus to provide a renewable hydrophilic, self-cleaning polymer coating.
Abstract:
The present invention provides for a primer-surfacer composition for use over sealed SMC parts such as automotive body panels that significantly reduces paint defects (such as paint pop and cracking defects) from appearing in the subsequently applied automotive topcoat finish. The coating composition includes silane and melamine components. The composition is sufficiently stable to be formulated as a one-pack coating composition.
Abstract:
A coating composition which includes an ionizing radiation-polymerizable oligomer, an ionizing radiation-polymerizable monomer and a releasing agent. The composition has a viscosity regulated to 1000 cps or less, can be rapidly and continuously produced and has excellent surface characteristics. A decorative material using the coating composition is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A material for spacecrafts pertaining to this invention is made of a compound containing the group IV b elements, as a material of which proof for oxygen atom is absolutely necessary. The application of this material, in the form of a shield part (a resin layer) for covering at least a portion of material used in a structural part of the spacecraft enables a long use (from several months to several decades or more) in the oxygen atom environment in the space, which was impossible in the part.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a hydrolyzable resin composition based on the resin having at least one side chain bearing a particular metal containing terminal group. The invention also concerns an antifouling coating composition containing said hydrolyzable resin composition as a vehicle.
Abstract:
A hydrolyzable resin composition consisting essentially of a resin selected from the group consisting of an acrylic resin, a polyester resin and an epoxy resin and an organic solvent in which the resin is soluble, wherein said resin has at least one side chain bearing at least one terminal group of the formula: ##STR1## wherein X represents ##STR2## M is a metal selected from zinc, copper and tellurium; x is an integer of 1 to 2; R represents an organic acid residue selected from ##STR3## and R.sub.1 is a monovalent organic residue, and the metal content of said resin is 0.3 to 20% by weight of the resin. The subject composition provides superior antifouling coating compositions.
Abstract:
Provided is an anti-fouling paint composition for preventing for an extended period of time fouling of submersed or submerged objects or marine structures. The paint composition comprises as an anti-fouling agent a copolymer comprised of (i) units of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R' is H or CH.sub.3 and R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are the same or different and selected from (Cl to 8) alkyl groups and a phenyl group, (ii) units of the formula: ##STR2## wherein R" is H or CH.sub.3, n is an integer of 2 to 4, R.sub.4 is Cl or (Cl to 4) alkyl group, R.sub.5 is Cl or Br and R.sub.6 is H, Cl or Br, and (iii) units of the formula: ##STR3## wherein R'" is H or CH.sub.3 and R.sub.7 is (Cl to 8) alkyl group.
