    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for setting an evacuation exit under a crowd emergency evacuation scenario are provided. A simulation model is constructed based on a social force model, and a behavior parameter of an evacuating crowd under the crowd emergency evacuation scenario is obtained by a numerical approximation method with actual trajectory data of individuals in the evacuating crowd under a specific emergency evacuation scenario as a reference; an evacuation exit set is set, an integer programming solution for evacuation exit decision under the emergency evacuation scenario is constructed, and a total evacuation cost of the evacuation exit is obtained based on the simulation model; and reduction of the total evacuation cost is taken as an optimization target to construct an emergency evacuation optimization model based on constraint conditions, and the emergency evacuation optimization model is solved to obtain a recommended integer programming solution for evacuation exit decision.

    Abstract: A method includes receiving a pattern layout for a mask, shrinking the pattern layout to form a shrunk pattern, determining centerlines for each of a plurality of features within the shrunk pattern, and snapping the centerline for each of the plurality of features to a grid. The grid represents a minimum resolution size of a mask fabrication tool. The method further includes, after snapping the centerline for each of the plurality of features to the grid, fabricating the mask with the shrunk pattern.

    Abstract: A design engine consolidates portions of a mechanical assembly design to reduce the number of components included in the design. The design engine analyzes the design to determine various criteria associated with the assembly. Then, the design engine identifies a group of components within the design to be consolidated. The design engine determines a volumetric region where the group of components resides and then subdivides the volumetric region. The design engine then initiates a generative design process based on the determined criteria to create geometry within each subdivision of the volumetric region. The newly generated geometry includes fewer components than the initial group of components. The design engine then replaces the group of components with the newly generated geometry, thereby consolidating the group and reducing the total number of components included in the design.

    Abstract: A method to provide an automated circuit design tool that mitigates or overcomes the inefficiencies present in the prior art tools ensuring a more efficient use of computer resources and a reduction in the time taken to design a suitable circuit that meets the design specification is presented. The computer-implemented method of designing a circuit configuration of a circuit, has the following steps 1) providing a first set of circuit configurations comprising one or more circuit configurations, 2) simulating each, circuit configuration of the first set of circuit configurations. In addition, the steps include: 3) scoring each, circuit configuration of the first set of circuit configurations based on a design specification and the simulation, or simulations, of step 2), and 4) providing a second set of circuit configurations comprising one or more circuit configurations that are dependent on the scores as determined in step 3).

An optimal design of the physical hardware and the controller is determined by solving a multi-objective optimization problem comprising a first objective function defining hardware design objectives, and a second objective function defining objectives for the controller model for the physical hardware.
