摘要： System and method for improving the shaving experience by providing improved visibility of the skin shaving area. A digital camera is integrated with the electric shaver for close image capturing of shaving area, and displaying it on a display unit. The display unit can be integral part of the electric shaver casing, or housed in a separated device which receives the image via a communication channel. The communication channel can be wireless (using radio, audio or light) or wired, such as dedicated cabling or using powerline communication. A light source is used to better illuminate the shaving area. Video compression and digital image processing techniques are used for providing for improved shaving results. The wired communication medium can simultaneously be used also for carrying power from the electric shaver assembly to the display unit, or from the display unit to the electric shaver.

摘要： An illuminating tweezers for grasping and manipulating small articles includes a single light emitting diode (LED) and powering battery located in an upper centrally-located barrel end of a monolithic body made of a light transmissive polymer. A beam-splitter lens molded into the body splits a single beam of light emitted by the LED into a pair of beams which are directed into upper ends of a pair of elastically bendable arms that depend downwardly from opposed longitudinal sides of the barrel. The pair of light beams are conducted downwardly through the arms by total internal reflection, and reflected downwardly and inwardly towards an illumination region located between lower ends of the arms by downwardly and inwardly oriented oblique end faces at lower ends of the arms.

摘要： A method and a hand-held device for dermaplaning is disclosed that includes a blade with a safety cage forming an assembly removably mounted to a housing. The dermaplaning device is configured to limit the depth that the blade can penetrate the skin which makes the device safe for use by non-professionals. The dermaplaning device is electrically powered to cause the blade to vibrate at a predetermined frequency. Various embodiments of the hand-held dermaplaning device are disclosed for vibrating the blade. In accordance with an important aspect of the invention, the blade includes a safety guard for limiting the amount of penetration of the blade into the facial skin to enable the device to be safely used by non-professionals.
