    摘要： A device for maintaining a lock of hair such as a dreadlock is provided. The device comprises a housing encasing a motor activated by a controller. A grooming element for encasing the dreadlock is rotatably situated within the housing. The housing comprises a clamping mechanism for securing the device to the dreadlock. Once the dreadlock is secured by the clamping mechanism, the grooming element rotates around the dreadlock to integrate new hair growth into the dreadlock. The grooming element comprises a plurality of trimming components for removing any excess hair that did not integrate into the dreadlock.

    摘要： System and method for improving the shaving experience by providing improved visibility of the skin shaving area. A digital camera is integrated with the electric shaver for close image capturing of shaving area, and displaying it on a display unit. The display unit can be integral part of the electric shaver casing, or housed in a separated device which receives the image via a communication channel. The communication channel can be wireless (using radio, audio or light) or wired, such as dedicated cabling or using powerline communication. A light source is used to better illuminate the shaving area. Video compression and digital image processing techniques are used for providing for improved shaving results. The wired communication medium can simultaneously be used also for carrying power from the electric shaver assembly to the display unit, or from the display unit to the electric shaver.

    摘要： A shearing device is provided for such applications as trimming hair in the nose. The shearing device includes a housing having a top portion and a bottom portion, where the top portion has at least one opening and a plurality of ridges that form channels adjacent to the at least one opening. At least one cutting blade assembly is disposed in each of the openings in the top portion of the housing of the shearing device. Each cutting blade assembly includes one or more blade members. The top portion of the shearing device includes a plurality of ridges that bracket the cutting teeth of the blade members on the cutting blade assembly. The plurality of ridges form channels that expose the teeth of the trimmer blade members, and space the teeth on the blade members of the device away from the skin. The length of the hairs remaining after cutting is determined by the depth of the channels formed by the ridges. In one embodiments of the invention, the cutting head of the shearing device includes a single opening, and a single cutting blade assembly. In another embodiment, the shearing device is a double-sided shearing device, which includes two openings located on opposite sides of the cutting head, and two sets of cutting blade assemblies.
