Provided is casting equipment and a casting method using same. A casting method includes: preparing a tundish; injecting molten steel to the tundish; installing a vacuum forming member on an upper portion of the tundish to form vacuum in at least a partial area of an upper portion of a melting surface of molten steel accommodated in the tundish; forming a rotational flow by blowing a gas into the molten steel; and forming vacuum in at least a partial area of the upper portion of the melting surface of the molten steel. More particularly, the present disclosure may effectively remove inclusions in the molten steel and restrict reoxidation of the molten steel.

A method for manufacturing carbon fiber reinforced aluminum composites is provided. Particularly, the method uses a stir casting process during a melting and casting process and reduces a contact angle of carbon against aluminum by inputting carbon fibers while supplying a current to liquid aluminum to induce the carbon fibers to be spontaneously and uniformly distributed in the liquid aluminum and inhibits a formation of an aluminum carbide (Al4C3) phase on an interface between the aluminum and the carbon fiber, thereby manufacturing carbon fiber reinforced aluminum composites having excellent electrical, thermal and mechanical characteristics.

A method for manufacturing a low-oxygen copper wire is provided, in which a dehydrogenating treatment can be performed without requiring a long moving distance of molten copper, and the generation of holes in solidification is suppressed, whereby high quality low-oxygen copper wire can be obtained having superior surface quality. The method for continuously manufacturing ingots of low-oxygen copper from molten copper includes a step of performing combustion in a reducing atmosphere in a melting furnace so as to produce molten copper; a step of sealing the molten copper in a non-oxidizing atmosphere in a casting trough; a step of transferring the molten copper to a turn-dish by using the casting trough; a degassing step of passing the molten copper through a degasser provided in the casting trough so as to dehydrogenate the molten copper; a step of continuously feeding the molten copper to a continuous casting machine so as to continuously produce cast copper; and a step of cutting the cast copper into a predetermined length.

Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for producing a uranium foil with fine crystalline granules by forming the foil by the gravitational dropping of molten uranium or uranium alloy and rapidly cooling the foil by the contact with cooling rolls, and a foil produced thereby. In accordance with the present invention, a high-purity and high-quality uranium foil with an isotropic structure and fine crystalline granules is easily produced via a simple process without requiring hot rolling and heat treatment processes. The surface of the foil is prevented from oxidizing and residual stress is not imparted to the foil. The productivity and the economic efficiency of the foil are improved.
