摘要： A hand held applicator tool for applying deformable metal fastener clips to secure together reinforcement steel members used in concrete construction. The concrete reinforcement steel members are used to strengthen concrete structures in a known manner and can be in the form of wire mesh sheets or rebar positioned in a grid pattern. The deformable metal fastener clips are generally U-shaped members that are open on one side before being deformed so that the fastener clips can be easily placed over the reinforcement steel members. The tool comprises a frame, an anvil supported at one end of the frame, a movable blade assembly supported for sliding movement along the frame toward the anvil, and a handle for manipulating and positioning the tool. The movable blade assembly has a generally U-shaped receptacle for holding a fastener clip. The anvil has a pair of machined grooves for guiding the first and second legs of a fastener clip generally toward one another to close the open side of the fastener clip and deform the first and second legs to clamp tightly around the reinforcement members. The steel reinforcement members can thus be secured together in substantially less time than with other conventional methods, and with substantially less cost in both materials and labor. The applicator tool design can also be used for applying deformable fastner rings during the manufacture of automotive seating, upholstery, furniture, bedding, and other applications where hog ring fasteners are conventionally used.

摘要： A pipelined system for removing the contents of sealed coin-collection boxes, wherein each box requires a set of different operations to be performed in seriatim to remove the box contents. The operations include removing a seal, opening a box lid, removing the box contents, resetting the lid and resealing the box. The pipelined system comprises a rotary surface for supporting a plurality of the boxes at spaced locations. Stationary surfaces mount a plurality of box-processing units, including pneumatic actuators and processing tools, at spaced stations to form a pipeline. The processing units each perform a different one of the processing operations during each processing cycle. A motor assembly pivots the rotary surface for stepwise positioning the boxes at different ones of the stations. A control system, including computer and pneumatic systems, causes the box-processing units to perform the different processing operations simultaneously on all boxes in the pipeline. Each time that the box-processing units complete their operations, the motor assembly pivots the rotary surface, advancing the boxes along the pipeline to the next processing station, where the processing cycle repeats so that the boxes are processed in a time staggered pattern. The box-processing units, which are serially arranged and operate in parallel, include a seal-removal tool, a lid-opener tool, a box-inverter that dumps the box contents into a coin sorter/counter system, a lid-reset tool and a seal-insert tool.

The ring nest members are movable from the radially contracted to the expanded positions when the ring is expanded so as to collectively enlarge the opening for receiving the piston and the recess to maintain the expanded ring substantially concentric with the axis while the fixed axial dimension prevents "oil canning". A plurality of radially and axially movable ring expanding fingers are disposed about the axis and positionable in the opening for radially expanding the ring while it resides in the recess. The piston is moved into the enlarged opening along the axis in a manner that the ring expander fingers are moved axially out of engagement with the expanded ring in the enlarged recess while the piston groove is moved to receive the expanded ring from the recess.

摘要： A device for transporting workpieces to be machined and worked having a base housing or frame which may be moved on wheels and a bed which holds workpieces. The bed is connected with the base frame via a scissors mechanism and can be raised by the scissors mechanism. The scissors mechanism comprises arm braces wherein one arm brace at one end is pivotally connected to the base housing and the other arm brace on one end is pivotally connected to the bed wherein the arm braces are connected to each other at approximately the center thereof via a shaft. The wheels are mounted on the shaft which connect the arm braces and the wheels are pushed out of the base housing as the bed is lowered. The arm braces on the other end opposite the pivotal connections have a free end comprising a sliding foot which slides on the housing floor. In the resting position, the sliding foot engages under a cross rod lying above the housing floor.

摘要： A method for capping or crimping an isolation cell or an isolation cap, for a safe disposal, to a sharp tip of a used or otherwise unsanitary needle of a medical device and an apparatus used therefor. By capping the tip of the used needle of the medical device, such as a disposable syringe, the isolation cell effectively eliminates the risk of infection or injury to anyone exposed to the tip of the used needle during or after its disposal. The apparatus includes a dispenser containing a plurality of the isolation cells where the dispenser positions one cell at a time into an anvil for prepositioning the isolation cell to receive a tip portion of the used needle within its interior. The used needle is then inserted through an orifice disposed on needle-alignment means, for safe and easy insertion. Once the needle is inserted within the cell positioned at the anvil, a crimping tool permanently crimps or caps the cell to the needle, after which the used needle having the cell crimped or capped thereto is extracted from the apparatus. The needle-alignment means are further provided with means for permitting smooth and easy extraction of the needle having the isolation cell crimped or capped thereon.

摘要： An automatic rivet feed apparatus which can be used as a retrofit to an existing power driven riveting tool or incorporated integrally into a riveting tool. A rivet strip holds each of the plurality of rivets at individual fixed positions on the rivet strip. Included is a rivet strip release hook which stops the rivets, as they are advanced one-by-one, at rivet pick-up point and releases each of the rivets from the rivet strip. A hand mounted on the end of a pneumatic ram grips the rivets at the rivet pick-up point. The pneumatic ram moves the rivet forward and rotates to place the rivet in alignment with the nose piece of the riveting tool. The pneumatic ram then retracts and inserts the mandrel of the rivet into the nose piece and returns to the rivet pick-up point to repeat the steps.

There are various kinds of members such as work-piece, tool and chuck jaw. These members are stored on exclusive pallets made for each kind of the member. Of the members, each tool and chuck jaw has its own memory and memorizes its own data. The data of all the memory can be read and written; therefore, the position of the pallet, tool and chuck jaw can be controlled at all times.
