    Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system creates a multi-element feature in a three-dimensional (3D) computer-aided design (CAD) model. A first element and a second element are selected to include in the multi-element feature. A single sketch is created comprised of sketch entities, a subset of which defines the first element and another subset of which defines the second element. A connection entity is included in the single sketch. The connection entity joins the first and the second elements. A modeling operation applied to the single sketch creates the multi-element feature.

    Abstract: The invention notably relates to a computer-implemented method for compressing data representing values of a physical attribute in a predetermined space. The method comprises providing a signal that includes a mapping from leaf cells of a hierarchical subdivision of the predetermined space each onto a respective coefficient representative of a value of the physical attribute at the respective leaf cell. The method also comprises determining a discrete wavelet transform of the signal and encoding the determined discrete wavelet transform. The method provides an improved way to compress a modeled object that represents a real object.

    Abstract: A 3D CAD model of a plant, a factory, refinery, or facility is re-built from laser scan data of the plant, a factory, refinery, or facility. Through a rules-based analysis, CAD model objects are identified in the laser scan data.     Abstract: It is provided a computer-implemented method designing a three-dimensional modeled object, comprising the steps of providing (S10) a plurality of two-dimensional views of the modeled object, a three-dimensional wireframe graph, associating (S20), to each vertex of the wireframe graph, a local radial order between all the edges incident to the vertex, and then determining (S30) edge cycles, by browsing the wireframe graph following the local radial orders associated to the vertices. Such a method improves the design of a 3D modeled object.
