Abstract: Techniques discussed herein can facilitate inter-cell interference mitigation. One example aspect is a user equipment (UE), configured to receive a network assistance indication associated with an interfering signal, where the interfering signal interferes with a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission. A time resource allocation of the interfering signal is different than a time resource allocation of the PDSCH transmission. The UE is further configured to determine an interference and noise covariance estimation mechanism based on the network assistance indication then perform interference and noise covariance estimation based on the noise covariance estimation mechanism. The UE is further configured to perform mitigation of the interfering signal using a mitigation mechanism based on the interference and noise covariance estimation.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for mitigating inter-carrier interference (ICI) due to frequency multiplexed downlink channels with mixed numerologies. For example, a base station allocates, for a user equipment (UE), a first downlink (DL) channel and a second DL channel that are frequency multiplexed in a same bandwidth part (BWP) and have different channel numerologies The base station determines a guard band interval between the first DL channel and the second DL channel based on one or more characteristics of the different channel numerologies, transmits DL transmissions to the UE, over the first DL channel and the second DL channel, using the guard band interval between the first DL channel and the second DL channel.

Abstract: Apparatus and method are provided for a user equipment (UE) to perform measurement operations for a handover procedure including target NR Primary Secondary Cell (PSCell) change or addition. Abstract: A UE for a 5G system is to perform a measurement during a network controlled small gap (NCSG). The NCSG includes a first visible interruption length (VIL1), a measurement length (ML), a second visible interruption length (VIL2), and a visible interruption repetition period (VIRP). A UE capability indicates a length of one or both the VIL1 and the VIL2. NCSG pattern information provides the NCSG for the UE, in which the VIL1 and the VIL2 indicate when the UE is not expected to transmit and receive data on a serving carrier, the ML indicates when the UE is expected to transmit and receive data on the serving carrier, and the VIRP indicates a period in which to repeat the NCSG.
