摘要: A method, apparatus, and manufacture for speech enhancement in an automotive environment is provided. Signals from first and second microphones of a two-microphone array are decomposed into subbands. At least one signal processing method is performed on the each subband of the decomposed signals to provide a first signal processing output signal and a second signal processing output signal. Subsequently, an acoustic events detection determination is made as to whether the driver, the front passenger, or neither is speaking. An acoustic events detection output signal is provided by selecting the first or second signal processing output signal and by either attenuating the selected signal or not, based on a currently selected operating mode and based on the result of the acoustic events detection determination. Each subband of the acoustics events detection output signal is then combined.

摘要: The present invention is related to location positioning systems, and more particularly, to a method and apparatus for making accuracy improvements to a GPS receiver's navigation calculations. According to a first aspect, the invention includes maintaining a table of height attributes for major cities and urban areas around the world (contour table) in the GNSS chipset. The information in the table preferably includes latitude, longitude of the city along with height attributes of those cities, such as the average, min, max height and region boundary etc. Additional information such as average gradient could also be saved in the table. According to further aspects, when GPS signals are degraded in environments such as urban canyons, the height information can be obtained from the table and used to improve the navigation solution.

摘要: A partial HDMI physical layer (“phy”) decoder core is used in an audiovisual (A/V) sink device to perform HDCP pre-authentication on inactive HDMI ports, so as to enable fast switching between HDMI ports. Whenever a source device is connected to the any HDMI port of the A/V sink device, HDCP authentication is performed on that port immediately, even if A/V data on that port is not being output to a user. As a result, when the user switches between HDMI channels, the output is available to the user instantly, without any HDCP-related delay. The A/V sink includes the partial HDMI phy decoder core in addition to a full HDMI phy decoder core. The full HDMI phy decoder core is used to extract and decode signals received on the active port. The partial HDMI phy decoder core is used to extract and decode only those HDMI signals received on an inactive port that are needed for pre-authenticating the inactive port.

摘要: Systems and methods which provide for reduced intra communication system information transfer by providing a compressed representation of a portion of intra communication system information are shown. An embodiment operates to provide intra communication system transfer of uncompressed received information while providing intra communication system transfer of a compressed representation of information ancillary to the received information. According to embodiments, ancillary information, such as CSI, associated with other transferred information is transferred with reduced data throughput requirements through application of compression techniques with respect to the transferred ancillary information. Embodiments additionally or alternatively reduce the intra communication system information transferred by reducing the received information transferred.

摘要: Embodiments are directed towards enabling digital cameras to digitally process a captured a Low Dynamic Range image sequence at a real time video rate, and to convert the image sequence into an High Dynamic Range (HDR) image sequence using a pipelined architecture. Two or more image frames are captured using different exposure settings and then combined to form a single HDR output frame in a video sequence. The pipelined architecture operate on adjacent image frames by performing an image alignment, an image mixing, and a tone mapping on the adjacent image frames to generate the HDR image sequence.

摘要: The invention facilitates the use of low resolution estimation to identify an optimal sequence of frame types for encoding a stream of video data. In one embodiment a series of video frames are downscaled and divided into superblocks. Low resolution motion estimation metrics are calculated for the superblocks and compared to corresponding superblocks of a previous frame. A series of video frame types is selected based on the comparison metrics and used to encode the video frames.
